Newly built in 2019, this McKinleyville home brings incredible style, comfort, and entertainment to the wild and beautiful Northern California Coast. It’s the perfect place to cap days spent hiking and beachcombing, relaxing on the furnished deck and hosting family tournaments in the game room.
This single-story home enjoys a wonderful location on the east side of McKinleyville, close to beaches, hiking trails, and the Beau Pre Golf Club. Clam Beach, Mad River Beach, Arcata, and Cal Poly Humboldt are all within a six-mile drive, while the Redwood National and State Parks begin just 31 miles north. You’ll also be close to a renowned stretch of oceanfront highway carved out of the mountainside, passing through beautiful Trinidad 11 miles north.
What makes this home so special is the entertainment for all ages and interests. Begin each day in the converted garage gym outfitted with a Peloton, a Tonal smart home gym, a Stealth Core Trainer, a stretching machine, dumbbells up to 50 pounds, and a full set of resistance bands. At night, this is a fantastic game room, offering a seven-foot pool/Ping-Pong table, arcade games (think retro Pac-Man, Galaga, Dig Dug, and Simpsons), a two-player hoop-shoot, and an emulator with 5,000 remastered games (from Atari to Playstation) plugged into a swiveling 55-inch smart TV. PS4, board games, cards, dice - they’re all on hand.
The outdoor space is equally enticing, beginning with a semi-fenced yard where you can play bocce, disc golf, cornhole, and three-hole putt-putt with the provided sets. Sip cold drinks in cushioned seats on the deck, use the gas grill for afternoon barbecues, rejuvenate in the hot tub, and cozy up by the gas fire table once the sun goes down.
At the heart of the living space is a kitchen that’s been beautifully appointed for every culinary need. The stainless steel appliances include a smart fridge/freezer with a viewing window and a craft icemaker, a smart oven, a gas range, and a dishwasher. All sorts of glassware, bakeware, and bonus tools (such as a blender and a crock pot) complement the stone countertops and cement sinks.
There’s an 85-inch smart TV in the adjoining living room and smart TVs in all four bedrooms. Of the bedrooms, one is a primary suite with a private bathroom and a dedicated work desk, one is a kids’ moon room with an en suite bathroom (and a closet stocked with toys, books, a high chair, and a Pack ’N Play), and two are guest rooms with walk-in closets. A washer/dryer, eero mesh high-speed WiFi, an air-conditioning system (a rarity in the area!), and an Amazon Echo are also provided.

One of the town's most notable features is its proximity to the stunning Pacific coastline. Clam Beach County Park is a local favorite, with miles of sandy beaches perfect for sunbathing, beachcombing, and horseback riding. The beach also offers a rare opportunity to witness the bioluminescent waves on certain nights, a magical experience where the water glows with a blue light due to the presence of phytoplankton.
