Little Bear Escape is a custom built single-bedroom luxury cabin and is just down the road from its larger counterpart ’Big Bear Escape’. Privately located off the road, it’s perfect for those looking for a romantic getaway surrounded by nature. This luxury cabin offers seasonal mountain views and is conveniently located between Boone and Banner Elk with just a short drive to either.
Enter the main level of this spacious home from the parking area up just 6 steps to a large floating deck. The front door opens into the spacious great room which features a large mounted smart TV, a queen pull-out couch and a cozy wood burning fireplace. The floor to ceiling windows paired with high ceilings and multiple skylights make you feel that you are truly a part of the surrounding forest landscape while offering stunning seasonal views of Grandfather Mountain.
On the south side of the great room is the dining area with comfortable seating for all and forest views through the large windows. Adjacent to the dining area is the fully-equipped kitchen featuring a custom built island, stainless steel appliances, soft-closing cabinets and high quality silverware, knives, and cookware.
Down the hall toward the east side of the main level is a stacked washer & dryer, a full bathroom with a walk in shower, and the entrance to the spacious master suite. This suite features a king bed with hotel quality sheets, a large walk-in closet, and large mounted smart TV.
Outside is a large floating deck equipped with a ski lift swinging bench, outdoor dining table and a ceramic chiminea where you can enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature and enjoy the views of the mountains and sunsets. Just steps away is a brand new four-person hot tub nestled along the tree line with a fantastic view. For those traveling with a larger group and need more space, Big Bear Escape is located on the same road and is approximately 100 yards away.

- Repeat guests returning to Little Bear Escape can receive a 5% discount.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers.
- The home offers a level 1 Tesla charger for guests to use.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- This property is dog friendly with a $25 per day, per dog fee. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- Please observe a quiet hour of 10PM as there are full time residents nearby.
- AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during winter months. The road leading to this home starts as paved then turns to gravel and is moderately steep.
- Little Bear Escape has parking space for up to 2 vehicles.
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- There is a Ring doorbell camera on the property by the front door.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled within 24 hours of their creation will receive a full refund of payments. Bookings canceled more than 24 hours after their creation are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
