The Sea Glass Cottage is a fabulous oceanfront home with multiple balconies & decks where you can catch some rays or stay shaded & just enjoy the breezes coming off of the Atlantic. The views are incredible & there is nothing but sand dunes & sea oats between you and the ocean. Your own walk over to the beach puts you at the ocean in minutes & you will enjoy the wide expanse of sand to walk or bike for miles and miles. Early morning sunrises will blow your mind as Mother Nature shows up to amaze! You will love the multiple decks and patios that put you up close and personal with your sensational views. At Sea Glass Cottage, you get a front row seat!
You will find the cottage charming and quaint. The original wood floors give the home a warmth and coziness not found in modern houses. While there are upgrades everywhere, especially in the bathrooms and kitchen, the cottage exudes comfort and makes you feel right at home.
Sea Glass Cottage is right in the center of things happening at the beach. You are just a short stroll from the grocery stores, shops for anything you can imagine, mouthwatering restaurants and hair and nail salons and spas. On the beach just north of here (also a nice walk), you will find the pier which is perfect for fishing or strolling out to see some fish. There are volleyball nets and you can join in a game on most days or bring your own volleyball and strike up a family competition. Miniature golf, bowling, The Alligator Farm and the Lighthouse, which I do suggest you climb for 360 views as far as the eye can see, are all a quick drive away, but still on the island.
You will enjoy the laid-back vibe here at the beach and every Wednesday morning there is a farmers’ market in the parking lot by the pier. So many different items for sale, all done, or grown, by local artisans or growers. So many great things to see and buy or a great way to spend a morning just perusing the various items. If you love a good farmers’ market, also try the Amphitheater on Saturday mornings. It is huge and most times will have live music to enjoy as you meander past the delectable baked goods, smoothies, pies, and breads. Live plants, paintings, jewelry, and some great souvenir items for those who got left behind on this vacation.
Of course, you must head downtown at least once during your stay. Worldly chefs will tempt your palate with an amazing array of different foods. The history of St Augustine is intriguing, especially when it is right there in front of you, like the fort, or the oldest schoolhouse. The original brick streets and buildings. It is something to see! Take a horse and buggy ride. Or sign up for a pirate ship ride, or a dolphin excursion. The options are limitless and all are such fun.
You will never run out of things to do in St Augustine but one thing is for sure, each day as you return home to Sea Glass Cottage, you will be so grateful that you made the choice to stay here. While the sun sets to the west, you can enjoy the sky from the cottage as one color melds into another.
As the evening wraps up you have a comfortable bed for your slumber and will awaken relaxed, energized and ready for a brand new day. Sea Glass Cottage will not disappoint. This is a place you will want to return again and again. Remember to book fast for your next vacation. This is a hot spot amongst rental properties!
