The perfect family-friendly escape. This well-equipped apartment is the ideal base to explore eastern Slovenia with vineyards, thermal spa towns, hiking and biking trails all in easy reach.
Quietly located on a sunny hillside surrounded by forests and fields this first-floor retreat is part of a small development of seven apartments and comfortably sleeps four guests. The property enjoys a private west-facing balcony, with a view of the surrounding gardens, pool and nearby village. Equipped with a bistro table and chairs, the balcony is the ideal spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an aperitif at the end of the day.
Outside guests can enjoy a heated, saltwater swimming pool surrounded by a paved sundeck, sun loungers and parasols, there is also a picnic area and shared terrace equipped with a BBQ and furnished with tables and chairs. There is also a children’s playground with a trampoline and a swing.
Inside, the apartment enjoys a large open-plan living space furnished with; a double sofa bed, a digital flat-screen HD satellite TV and a dining table. This room also incorporates a kitchen fitted with a cooker hob, an oven, an american style coffee machine, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer. Guests also have the option to pre-order meals, including local specialities that will be prepared and served by arrangement.

The property is located at the edge of the Kozjansko natural park, in Pišece a small historical village in the Lower Sava Valley in eastern Slovenia. The village is surrounded by picturesque countryside and the nearby Sava River. The most prominent feature of the village is a well-preserved Renaissance-era castle (a 5-minute drive / 24-minute walk from the property) that dates back to the 16th century.
The region is also known for its vineyards and wine production. Visitors can explore the local vineyards, sample regional wines and experience the viticultural traditions of the area. Vino Simon is a 6-minute drive away and Vinska klet in repnica Najger, in the nearby Bizeljsko area is an 8-minute drive away.
For active holidays the region offers a tranquil setting for outdoor activities like hiking and cycling. There are also two golf courses nearby - Golf igrišče (a 25-minute drive away) and Golf Grad Otočec (a 40-minute drive away) and one of the largest water parks in Europe Termalni park Aqualuna which is a 30-minute drive away.
For those in search of ultimate relaxation, there are several thermal spas nearby, Terme Čatež is a 20-minute drive, Terme Olimia a 29-minute drive away, Rogaška Slatina a 45-minute drive away and Dolenjske Toplice an hour’s drive away. All have excellent thermal spa and wellness facilities and are great places to relax and rejuvenate.
The closest international airport is Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU) a one hour and 30-minute drive away.
