Pull up into the wrap-around driveway and you’ll know you’ve made it to the river! This home’s decor is all about celebrating the natural beauty around the home, with bear and moose touches in almost every room. With ample parking and a private dock, you can bring your toys (boats, ATVs, and snowmobiles), park your trailer(s), and play! One of the bedrooms includes a workspace, in case someone has some remote work or schooling to finish up before heading out to the lake. Head out to the 12’ X 20’ deck and cook up any salmon or brook trout you catch at the lake on the private gas grill. The fully equipped kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances including a double oven, five-burner stovetop, microwave, slow cooker, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher, and a large refrigerator for preparing food before you sink in front of the gas fireplace. Not to mention, the home has a backup generator so you always have electricity and heat. In warmer weather, the whole group can relax out on the deck with food and refreshments. This homey haven is waiting to serve as your base for outdoor adventures - come in and relax awhile.
This Maine Vacation Home is located on Moose River in Rockwood, Maine, and comes with the use of a private dock at the location. You will be a half-mile from Moosehead Lake via the river and under two miles by car. Whether you have come to hike, golf, boat, fish, hunt, ski, ATV, or snowmobile, it’s all outside the door with direct access to ITS-66 from the backyard. Guests can partake in swimming, boating, ice fishing, and even a moose safari! Hiking Maine mountains on the Appalachian Trail, fly-fishing at East Outlet, and swimming in Moosehead Lake and Upper and Lower Wilson Pond are all great options as well. Winter at Moosehead Lake abounds with opportunities for ice fishing, downhill skiing at Big Squaw Mountain (16 miles from the home), and even snowmobiling - come during early spring and you’ll be able to watch the Wilderness Sled Dog Race!
