Sleeps up to 6 adults. This custom European-style 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath luxury home, just steps from Monterey Bay, has fantastic views of whitewater, sailboats, sea life and the mountains beyond! The 1,800 sq ft home is just minutes to downtown Pacific Grove, Cannery Row and the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium and a short drive to Carmel or Pebble Beach. A walking and bike path along the shoreline extends from Cannery Row to Lover’s Point, past the famed succulent carpet of pink blooms, around Pt. Pinos with its trademark lighthouse, all the way to Spanish Bay and world-famous Pebble Beach. Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complimentary wine and cheese, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear. A charming wooden gate welcomes you to a brick pathway lined with ferns and trumpet vines that leads to the front door. Enter a vaulted foyer with a magnificent Art Nouveau stained-glass chandelier, a hand-carved Moroccan mirror and an intricately carved antique wood chest from India. A hallway leads to 2 bedrooms and a full bath. One bedroom, with a garden view, has a king bed and a walk-in closet. A second bedroom has an ocean view and a queen bed. Both feature rustic wrought-iron chandeliers, Parisian shutters as headboards, luxury mattresses and linens, as well as Louis XVI-style armchairs. The bathroom with terracotta tiles features a large step-down shower that can be partially filled for a shallow bath. A laundry room with washer and dryer are on this level. Climb the stairs from the entryway and enter a spacious living room with elegant Old-World charm imparted by a beamed vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace with a carved and gilded wooden mirror over the mantle, a chocolate-colored velvet couch, leather and tapestry side chairs. The only touch of modernity is a large flat-screen TV. Bay windows looks out to the handsome neighboring homes, Monterey cypresses and the ocean. The second-floor master bedroom has an air of opulence created by the wood-beamed ceiling, bronze Moroccan chandelier, king bed, walk-in closet and a magnificent view of whitewater breaking on the rocks below. The large terracotta tiled bathroom with its walk-in shower, his-and-her sinks and a separate commode complete this luxurious suite. The kitchen and dining room feature tranquil views of white-capped waves on the bay and beyond to distant mountains. Enjoy cooking in the fully-equipped, white ceramic-tiled kitchen from which you may catch sight of an occasional whale or a pod of dolphins. Cooks will delight in the carefully conceived layout which includes a Wolf gas stove, side-by-side stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. A long countertop divides the cooking and dining areas which allows the cook to serve diners without missing any of the fun. The adjacent dining area has a long wooden antique table seats up to 8 beneath a European wrought-iron chandelier. Enjoy daylight views of Monterey Bay sea life while dining.
