Vintage style is given a modern uplift in this exquisitely designed five-bedroom home in north London. Skilfully enhancing its inherent Victorian charm with an uplifting contemporary twist, this spacious terraced home boasts excellent transport connections to the city centre from nearby Finsbury Park station and is situated only a stone’s throw from the Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club...
This abode’s flair for an arresting visual aesthetic is apparent from the moment you arrive at the pastel pink front door and step inside a gracefully decorated hallway. It’s a captivating first impression effortlessly maintained in the open-plan kitchen and dining area. Striking shades of pink and blue, decorative foliage and an abundance of natural light bring a soulful mood to the spacious kitchen. Equipped with all key amenities including a double fridge, this convivial space is further enhanced by a bench seat by the window. Exuberant pendant lights bring contemporary panache to a dining area that deftly retains its period hallmarks including a prominent bay window and refined wood floors, while a piano adds a touch of musicality.
Embracing shifts in texture and tone, and encompassing pops of colour through its velvet soft furnishings, bohemian rug and statement shelving, the living room is accentuated by an exposed brick fireplace and working wood burner. A gallery-style wall brings an artistic flavour to the lounge area. Boasting direct access out to the garden, it’s a reposeful space to settle down in for the evening on a cosy teal sofa in front of a wall-mounted Smart TV.
Combining vintage elegance with modern flair, the luxurious principal suite is centred around a stunning four-poster super king-sized bed that lends an air of grandeur to this distinguished room. Separated from the bedroom by a set of charming rustic-style doors, you’ll also find a gorgeous en-suite bathroom offering an opulent freestanding bath, walk-in shower, wash basin and vanity desk. Enthusiasts of Japanese anime will instantly note the presence of the legendary Totoro in the second bedroom, where a mural pays homage to the forest spirit in a room offering a single bed and desk.
Pared back with its clean lines and reclaimed floors, the third bedroom is ideal for young children and plays host to a single bed, rocking chair and vintage mirror. Circus-themed artwork and a yellow-tinted bed bring the sunshine to the fourth bedroom, minimalist in style and home to a single bed and small desk. A soft toy giraffe instantly lifts the spirits in the final bedroom, which houses a raised single bed and optional double sofa bed. Accents of deep charcoal bring a lustrous quality to the main family bathroom, replete with a pink pastel freestanding bath with waterfall shower. Finally, a circular lawn bids you outdoors to enjoy the garden, where you can admire the serene view from a charming patio table and seating area.
