VILLA RICORDI is a completely restored Neoclassic period Villa with a backyard garden along Via del Monumento in Marlia, very close to supermarkets and in a walking distance from shops and restaurants. Surrounded incredibly breathtaking countryside reachable in a few minutes on foot, the Villa shows off its traditional construction featuring exposed wood beams, early 1900s flooring, ancient stonework, and elegant archways that link its many living areas. The villa features and indoor and an outdoor fully equipped kitchens. An ample dining room with seats for 12 and several living rooms are a feature. With such a beautiful setting, you’ll love hosting family and friends at unforgettable dinner parties inside the villa or in the wonderful greenhouse by the pool. The fully equipped kitchen, barbecue, and wood fired pizza oven make its way to prepare incredible meals. You’ll also enjoy the villa’s pool, sun beds, and a fireplace.
After relaxing in the garden head for lunch in a favorite spot on the hills around Marlia, Segromigno, Ponte a Moriano. Located just at the foot of the hills, this vibrant town features some of the cities best restaurants. For dinner, the Michelin-starred Butterfly features fine Italian cuisine and an amazing garden. On another evening try Antica Locanda di Sesto, a more traditional and casual Italian Trattoria packed with locals.
Once the inspiration for countless Renaissance artists and now dotted with charming villages and castles, the Lucca region is well worth exploring. Sip the famed local wine in Montecarlo or leave your car at the close-by train station and take the train into central Florence. You can even drive to Pisa in 25 minutes or to the Beach in 25/30 minutes, or even to Cinque Terre in less than 1 hour. There are plenty of dining choices close to VILLA RICORDI, from rustic trattorias to romantic restaurants, and if you need a special treat, the Garfagnana mountains and wonders of BARGA and BAGNI DI LUCCA are only a 20 minute drive away.
