One of Europe’s oldest renovated chateaux is available for your family holiday or reunion. Chateau St. Genevieve located in the Savoie region of France is at the base of the French Alps. This property can accommodate up to 20 guests with 10 bedrooms and 10 plus bathrooms.
A perfect location for a small executive company retreat, yoga, meditation, or bike the past routes of the Tour de France. Originally built by French monks as a priory in 1032-1033, the property was transformed into a chateau in 1828.
Since 2000, the current owners have brought modern charm to the chateau while maintaining historical and architectural integrity. Recently updating the ancient caves and adding a pool to the property.

In addition to the incredibly unique bedrooms, there is also a large kitchen for relaxed meals and a formal dining room. Two outdoor terraces can also be used for dining and relaxing. There is also a main reception room for entertaining and enjoying a bottle of wine. The salon is most frequently used for mixing drinks at the bar, socializing, and listening to music. The library is the ideal quiet place to escape with a good book or play a game of chess. Upstairs, there is a game room equipped with a pool table, bar and games.
The home theatre comes with over 800 films to watch with streaming capabilities. There is an office available, for those who must work, with Wi-Fi, phone, fax and a printer.
Outside there are 17 acres of private grounds and other out-buildings to explore. There are also two dining terraces with spectacular, ever-changing views of the Alps and Mont-Blanc. To easily enjoy an al fresco meal in the privacy of the garden, our gas movable barbecue grille with 4 heat elements and optional griddle is at your disposal..
Last but not least, there is a heated private swimming pool (size:11.5m x 5.5m/depth: 1.2m - 1.6m/ type of heating: pump system) with automatic cover.

Both the Geneva and Lyon international airports are within a 90-minute drive away. The nearest village is 2 km away and has quaint village living with bakeries, charcuteries and a weekly farmer’s market and grocery stores.
The chateau is the ideal place to enjoy the typical French lifestyle and escape a hectic city life. Some may prefer to enjoy adventure, shopping and exploring in cities such as Chambery, Albertville and Annecy are only a short drive away. And for those who want to venture a little further, the Italian and Swiss borders are within an hour drive.
Other activities in the area include paragliding, hiking, skiing, biking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, quad and motorcycle treks, swimming, and riding in glider planes.
