The Alba D’Oro apartment is in the Rialto Market area and from the living room you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Grand Canal and Cà D’Oro.
Sober and luminous, it has been recently renovated maintaining the features of the typical Venetian homes such as the wooden beamed ceilings, the antique wooden board flooring, original raw brick walls, old stones, etc.
The furniture is rather minimalist, comfortable and functional. This apartment has a spacious living room with tall arched neoclassical windows, a comfortable double pull-out sofa bed and a table for 4-6 people. There is air conditioning in the living room and bedroom, wireless internet connection. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and 4 burners gas stove. There is a large bedroom with a king size bed that can be separated in two single beds on requested. The bathroom has a spacious shower cabin.
This apartment is easy to access, only 2 minutes’ walk to the Rialto Mercato Vaporetto stop and located at the first floor of a beautiful 17th century historic building. The entrance door at the ground floor is used exclusively by this apartment hence maximum privacy is guaranteed. Being located off the main tourist itinerary this apartment is very quiet despite the vicinity to the Market.
This apartment is perfect for those who like to experience a romantic holiday on the Grand Canal, or those who are curious to try the delicious Venetian cuisine, either cooking at home the fresh produce available at the Rialto Market close by, or dining at the many fine restaurants found in the San Polo District.
San Polo is a maze of quiet Calli (lanes) and pleasant Campi (little squares). One of the most important places of this district is Campo San Polo, the second widest square of the city after St. Mark’s Square, where local children and pets can run around and play games while adults chat, in summer there is an open-air cinema, in winter an ice-skating ring.
San Polo is known for its fine but reasonably priced Osterie and Bacari (informal traditional restaurants and bars) where you can find locals and connoisseurs. This district is in fact not touristy at all, exception made for the area of the Rialto Bridge, where the busy and colourful Rialto Market takes place every morning (Sundays excluded).

About the area
Venice, Italy, is a city that enchants its visitors with its distinctive blend of history, artistry, and romance. The city is uniquely constructed on over 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. Instead of roads and cars, Venice is characterized by its waterways and gondolas, offering a truly unique urban experience.
St. Mark's Square stands as one of the city's most iconic landmarks. It is home to St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace. The basilica boasts stunning Byzantine mosaics while the palace showcases Gothic architecture and grand rooms adorned with art - both are symbols of Venice's rich historical heritage.
The Grand Canal is another must-visit attraction in Venice. A gondola ride along this major waterway provides breathtaking views of beautiful palaces and historic buildings lining its banks. For those passionate about art, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection offers an impressive collection of modern art from renowned artists like Picasso and Pollock.
Venice takes pride in its glassmaking industry located on the island of Murano where visitors can witness artisans crafting intricate glass pieces using age-old techniques.
The city also hosts several globally recognized events such as the Venice Biennale art exhibition and the Venice Film Festival which draw artists and celebrities worldwide.
For gastronomes, Venetian cuisine offers fresh seafood from the lagoon and traditional dishes like risotto nero (black risotto) made with cuttlefish ink.
In summary, Venice presents an irresistible mix of history, culture, artistic talent, gastronomy, and romance that makes it an ideal destination for any traveler.
