fascinating grays, persuasive whites, enveloping dark tones and pops of gold and silver complete the color palette. Tasteful antique prints and standout artwork adorn the warm walls. The fully equipped kitchen, featuring finest italian cabinets, joins the refined living room, effortlessly allowing meals to be transported between the two. Dine under the glitte-ring lights of the ornate chandelier that drips above the stylish table and velvet chairs. A quaint location, offering picturesque views of Lucca, is the perfect spot to sneak away for a moment of reflection.
A 1-minute walk will land you at the Torre Guinigi—the iconic tower with oak tress on the top that is built on the top of Lord Paolo Guinigi mansion dating back to 1200s. Of course, a trip to Italy wouldn’t be complete without indulging in the many gastronomic offerings; seek out a low-key trattoria to savour authentic, handcrafted pasta, fresh pecorino (sheep’s milk cheese), salami, gelato, and a bottle of local wine. All of the city’s most im-pressive sights, the San Frediano, San Michele, Piazza Napoleone, San Martino and the Puccini Concerts at San Giovanni are nearby within a 5 mins walk away. Safe guarded parking is located on the premises and just 2 blocks away. Use your car or catch a train at the nearby train station (just 10 mins walk away) for a day trip, make sure you set aside a few hours to explore Tuscany in all its glory: Pisa (20 mins), Florence (40 mins), Pistoia (30 mins), Montecatini Terme (20 mins), Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore and Forte dei Marmi (20 mins), Cinque Terre and La Spezia (60 mins), Siena and Arezzo (70 mins), Volterra and San Gimignano (60 mins), Livorno (25 mins), Chianti Wine Country (45 mins).
When in Lucca, stop back in for a quick lunch at PAOLO GUINIGI APARTMENT SUITE. The contemporary kitchen has everything you’ll need to craft memorable meals, maybe even try your hand at traditional Lucchese cuisine. Rather keep it casual? Just grill up fresh specialties from the nearby tipical groceries. Back inside, the dining table beneath the chandelier is the perfect place for a special announcement.
When your feet are tired from exploring, find something fun on the Smart TV and stretch out on the sofa. Keep up with work or send holiday pictures to friends with reliable hi-speed Wi-Fi. Light up some candles, take a glass of wine, and catch up on some reading while you listen to your favourite music through the audio speakers.
After a day walking around and clearing your mind with the incredible views offered by a walk up on the walls, head to michelin starred Il Giglio for dinner, where fresh seafood and produce from the Tuscany area are always on the menu. It’s right down the street from the apartment, making it an easy stop before a night of Puccini classical music con-cert. Eating vegetarian? Il Punto is Lucca’s best. For traditional dishes and flair, hit La Buca di S. Antonio. It’s the birthplace of many Italian recipes.

About the area
Lucca, Italy, is a captivating city that embodies the quintessential charm of Tuscany. Enclosed by well-preserved Renaissance walls that have been transformed into a pedestrian promenade, the city invites visitors to step back in time and explore its historical treasures at a leisurely pace.
The heart of Lucca is its old town, a labyrinth of cobblestone streets, picturesque piazzas, and elegant buildings. The Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, a unique elliptical square, is a highlight, built on the ruins of an ancient Roman amphitheater. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the piazza, which is lined with cafes and shops, perfect for sipping a cappuccino and people-watching.
Lucca's rich history is showcased in its numerous churches, the most famous being the San Michele in Foro with its stunning façade and the Lucca Cathedral (Duomo di San Martino), which houses remarkable artworks and the revered Volto Santo di Lucca, a wooden crucifix. The city's religious heritage is further celebrated during the Luminara di Santa Croce festival, where Lucca is illuminated by thousands of candles in a breathtaking display.
For those with a taste for adventure, climbing the Guinigi Tower offers a rewarding experience. The tower is notable for the ancient oak trees growing atop its roof, providing a unique vantage point over the city and the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
Music enthusiasts will find Lucca especially endearing as it is the birthplace of the famous composer Giacomo Puccini. The Puccini Museum, located in his childhood home, is a pilgrimage site for opera lovers, and the city hosts an annual summer festival celebrating his works.
Beyond its historical and cultural offerings, Lucca is also a gateway to the Tuscan landscape, with opportunities for cycling and hiking along the Serchio River or through the nearby hills. The city's culinary scene is equally enticing, featuring traditional Tuscan cuisine, fine wines, and local specialties like Buccellato, a sweet bread that is a Lucca staple.
Lucca's blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, combined with its relaxed atmosphere and friendly locals, makes it a destination that offers a truly authentic Italian experience. Whether you're seeking to immerse yourself in history, enjoy the arts, or simply indulge in the pleasures of Italian life, Lucca is a city that will capture your heart and leave you longing to return.
