It can take some time for the pool to heat depending on the outdoor temperature. - The hot tub can only be on for 2 hours at a time with an hour to rest in the middle. If you want it on for more than 4 hours per day, then an additional fee of $50 will apply. - Swimming pool or hot tub should be used at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. Children under 16 should be supervised at all times. - No glass allowed in and around the pool or hot tub. - For health, safety, and maintenance reasons, pets are strictly prohibited from entering the pool. A $500 fine will be charged if this rule is violated. - Please note that the pool heater may struggle to maintain temperature if it’s below 45°F. If the temperature drops below 35°F, we will be unable to turn the heater on, as it cannot function effectively at that level. - Please allow 3–5 hours after pool servicing before swimming. This ensures the water is safe and properly balanced for you and your guests. Trash: A dumpster is located at the top of the hill for your convenience. HVAC Rules: Please do not set the home’s thermostat above 76 (heating) or below 68 (cooling). To avoid overloading the system, please adjust the thermostat by no more than 2 degrees per hour and keep the doors and windows closed as much as possible. If you encounter any issues, don’t hesitate to contact us. Please note that this is a rural property out in the Texas Hill Country, where it’s common to encounter wildlife such as birds, reptiles, deer, and other local fauna. Rural areas like ours may have limited or different services compared to urban settings, including cell phone and delivery services. As you may know, Texas is home to plenty of bugs, especially during cricket season. You may notice a few more of them around September and they’re completely harmless, though we understand they can be a bit pesky. Rest assured, we take proactive measures to manage them, and it shouldn’t pose a problem during your stay. To help keep them outside, please keep all windows and doors closed, especially in the evenings. If you happen to notice any inside, feel free to use the bug spray provided under the sink.
