Welcome to Faraway Skies! This beautiful cabin sits just 20 minutes north of Boone and offers unforgettable views from the deck! On a clear afternoon, soak up the stunning view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and in the evening, enjoy an evening under the stars while you sit by a campfire. The living room offers a gas fireplace, beautiful vaulted ceilings, a cozy couch, an over-sized chair, a flat screen TV and deck access. Just behind the living room is the fully-equipped kitchen with all the tools necessary to prepare a great meal. This open concept makes this area the perfect place for all of your friends and family to gather! There is a dining table that seats 4 and 2 stools at the bar. Both bedrooms are on the main level of the home, which is about 15 steps down from the front door entrance. One bedroom has a king bed and a full bathroom with a tile shower. The other bedroom has a queen bed. The second bathroom is just outside of this bedroom, in the hall. Upstairs, you will find two more twin beds in the loft along with another full bathroom. The outside grounds are likely to be your favorite feature of Faraway Skies. Just a short walk from the deck you will find a hot tub as well as a fire pit. Another perfect area for the family to spread out and enjoy the cool mountain evenings. Faraway Skies is the perfect cabin to call home whether it be summer, fall or spring! The road leading to this home is gravel, and there is enough parking for 3-4 medium size vehicles. There are no immediate neighbors which offers total peace and quiet for you to relax - away from the everyday hustle. Additional Notes: - To get to the front door of this home you must walk down approximately 15 steps. Once you enter the home, there are another 10-15 steps to get to the living & dining area. - This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Stone Mountain Lodge is in the Bethel mountain community eighteen (18) miles from Boone and the same distance from Banner Elk. The NC/TN line and Cherokee National Forest are within walking distance from the lodge. Close to Johnson City, Mountain City, and Elizabethton, as well as Watauga Lake, Tweetsie Railroad, and Grandfather Mountain, all less than thirty (30) miles away. The Watauga River is close by and provides outdoor recreation opportunities like tubing, rafting, fishing, and hiking. This well maintained cabin is just outside of Boone, conveniently located between Vilas and Valle Crucis in the Greene Place Community. Upon entering the community you will pass the neighborhood pond where you and your guests can fish (catch-and-release with no license needed). As you pull into the parking area, you will immediately notice the wrap around deck, the private setting, and the beautiful forest views the property has to offer. There is a covered front porch with seating. Walk around to the back porch where you’ll likely spend your time.
