You can head up to Ober Gatlinburg and take the aerial tram into downtown. There is a fee for parking and the tram itself. Get close to the window. The view is great! The next option is to head down the hill and you’ll find lots of options for paid parking. Okay, shhh...I’m going to tell you a secret. Turn left when you get to Cici’s on River Road. There is a little bit of free parking here. You might get a spot if you start early in the day. If not, the best deal in town for short term parking is Downtown Parking right next to Tom and Earl’s Back Alley Grill, also on River Road. It’s cash only and $2.00 per hour. Everything else in town is generally a flat rate of $15 or $20, which is great if you’re staying all day. Another option is to take the trolley. The trolley doesn’t come to the chalet but there is free parking at the visitor center and you can ride the trolley for free. Lastly, you can Uber to Ober. Haha!
