The primary bedroom and guest room both have desks so that you may work privately during your stay. We put a lot of thought into furnishing this home and had families in mind with each detail. It isn’t the most updated or fanciest home on the lake, but it’s one of the homiest! ★ 2 Queen beds + 3 twin beds (1 bunk + trundle) ★ 2 Full bathrooms ★ Smart TVs in the living room & primary bedroom ★ Gas fireplace ★ Firepit ★ Laundry area ★ Parking for 2 boats at dock This 1,355 SF house has a large family room with big lake views and a dining room perfect for spending time with your group. The kitchen has peninsula bar seating for four and includes all major and small appliances. The primary bedroom suite has a queen size bed, TV, walk-in closet, full ensuite bathroom, laundry closet, and exterior access. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third has a twin bunk + a twin trundle. The house is done in a self-proclaimed ’coastal lakehouse modern style’ with loads of cozy furnishings, upholstery, pillows, linens, and a mix of natural textiles - think wicker, rattan, wood and glass. Various warm grays, soft neutrals and hues of blue give this house a homey feel the moment you enter. There are various options for outdoor seating and entertaining as well, including a charcoal grill, reclaimed wood Adirondack style chairs at the outdoor lakeside firepit, an outdoor sectional with cushions and pillows on the patio with two oversized lounge chairs, and a reclaimed wood outdoor picnic table made by a local artisan. Another set of French doors lead to the outdoor patio space with multiple tiers of entertaining space leading towards the water and dock. The second floor loft showcases chalet-style windows and presents a stunning view of the lake. This space can be used in many different ways; to relax in the provided rocking chair, lay out a yoga mat to meditate, or to escape the rest of the group and watch TV. Kids will love this as a “Sleepover” space! Just unzip the 3 bean bags and pull out the foam mattresses! Bonus that the two primary bedrooms are on this same floor, so parents can stay “tuned in”! The guest house is located at the front of the driveway as you drive onto the property. The garage space itself is not accessible to guests. The single-room studio-style Guest House above the garage has two full sized beds as well as a full sized bathroom with stand-up shower. The Guest House also has a kitchenette area with a sink and mini refrigerator. The Guest House is not attached to the Main House and is set back towards the road, making it a very private and quiet retreat. (A great space for older teens!). This area does not have wifi. The backyard is the perfect place to make lots of memories with your family. There are 3 tiers of decking with plenty of resort-style outdoor furniture, allowing for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake view and abundant wildlife, even while on dry ground. There is an outdoor fireplace, lounge furniture, a dining set, conversation set, and a charcoal grill (BYO charcoal) for guest use. The dock that leads right out onto Lake Murray where you may rent a boat from a local rental shop or use the swim ladder to take a dip with your family. You may also bring your own boat and launch right from the backyard if you so desire. No pets allowed. The owner uses the home regularly and has severe allergies. Please plan on leaving your pets at home if making a reservation here, no exceptions. We do not allow parties or gatherings above the listed maximum guest occupancy of 10 people. This is to prevent conflict or disruption to our neighbors and so we do not overtax the water and septic system. Please follow quiet hours, especially outdoors between 9PM-8AM every day of the week. The water level at Lake Murray varies over the year. When the water level is low, the ramp to the dock can become steep. Please be mindful of this and be careful when going up and down the dock. The water off the far end of the dock is approximately 12 feet deep in the summer, and even during lower water levels, it remains around 7-8 feet. Our floating dock provides easy access to the water, though please note that there’s no beach area, and the shoreline is a bit steeper but terraced for your convenience. The backyard is a bit steep due to the terrain of the lot. Please be cautious when walking to and from the lake.
