Our home boasts gleaming hardwood floors throughout and beautiful comfortable furniture. Located in the center of the island, the cottage is perfectly situated within minutes from the beach. After a day at the beach, it is a pleasure to return home to the comfort of the live oaks and the peace and serenity of the maritime forest. To get around the island, you will have two 4 seat golf carts. If you would prefer to ride around the island on bike, there are four adult bikes for your use. Need other or different sizes - you can reserve/rent from Riverside Adventure at the Marina. Although we guarantee the use of the golf carts, we cannot guarantee the condition of the bikes during your stay. We will make every attempt to repair but it may not be possible during your visit. We have a professional property manager who lives full time on the island to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Bald Head Island is only accessible by boat or by a ferry, which departs frequently out of Southport, NC. Southport is 40 minutes from the Wilmington, NC (ILM) airport. A tram ride to the villa is included with your ferry ticket. Reservations are required. Visitors and residents travel around the island by golf cart, bike or by foot.
