The living room fireplace is open on both sides, where additional comfortable seating can accommodate your group next to the kitchen and near the TV. The well-appointed kitchen is next to the living room, with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. There is seating at the dining room table for twelve (12) with bar seating for four (4) more, and another table in the keeping room for four (4) more. The spacious master suite is on the main floor with a king bed, TV, and sliding glass doors leading to the deck overlooking the lake. The master bedroom boasts a private ensuite bathroom with a jetted whirlpool tub, a separate walk-in steam shower, dual vanities, and a bidet. A short walk out the back leads to a private boat dock on Kerr Scott Lake, where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, and boating at your fingertips. Just to note, like most houses on a mountain lake, the house sits about 100 feet above the lake level, so there is a graded and graveled winding path down to the dock. There is ample parking in the level paved driveway with a covered entrance into this immaculate lakeside cabin. Once inside you stroll across 150 year old roughhewn reclaimed wood flooring to the great room which allows several different locations for guests to enjoy their time together while sitting on unique rustic furnishings and enjoying original artwork and statues. A massive stone fireplace emerging from the lower level stretches through the great room. The gourmet kitchen has an island bar. Blue Ridge Mountain Club Construction Notice: BRMC is an up and coming community and there are many homes that are currently under construction. Construction noise may be audible from the home. Per the neighborhood’s Architectural Review Guidelines, construction will be ongoing Monday through Thursday from 7am to 7pm, Friday from 7am to 5pm, and quiet interior work on Saturdays from 8am to 5pm. Construction is NOT allowed on Sundays and the 7am hour is for quiet interior work throughout the week. New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day will not have construction. Once reserved, guests will not be moved due to construction noise as it has been disclosed. Only UTV’s available for rent from Appalachian UTV are permitted. - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided. - Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am - Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates. - No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home. - Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook. - No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable. - 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. -This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per pet per night plus tax.
