Welcome to your private mountain getaway at Cranberry View Lodge! Tucked away in a peaceful corner of Avery County with no other homes immediately in sight, this beautiful home offers spectacular mountain views! Enter the home with just 2 steps up from the gravel parking area. The great room features a dining table for 8 to your right, and to your left is a spacious kitchen with granite counters, custom cabinets, and Samsung and Frigidaire stainless steel appliances including a double oven. A few steps further takes you into the living room, where the focal point is a beautiful wood burning fireplace with river rock running from the hearth all the way to the ceiling. Leather furniture is arranged facing the fireplace which has a TV mounted above it. Downstairs is a game den offering a 7’ long convertible pool table, ready for fun and friendly competition for everyone! There is also a second wood burning fireplace, a wet bar, full bathroom, and large TV down here, as well as doors to the lower deck. From the living room, double doors take you outside to the deck and the sweeping mountain views. Kick back and relax as you watch the clouds make playful shadow shapes on the mountain ranges fading into the horizon. A selection of Adirondack chairs awaits on both the upper and lower decks. The upper deck also offers a covered section with an outdoor dining set and a gas grill. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Time for bed? Cranberry View Lodge offers six bedrooms including two ensuites, plus a futon in the loft, so there’s plenty of space for everyone! On the lower level you’ll find two bedrooms each with a set of twin over-twin bunk beds. On the upper level are a Queen bedroom with TV, a bedroom with two single Twin beds and TV, a bathroom on the hallway, and a Queen ensuite bedroom with TV and private bathroom featuring an oversized tiled shower. The master suite on the main level has a King bed, TV, doors to the deck, and a private bathroom with soaking tub, double granite vanities, and a large, tiled shower. LOCATION Even though it’s nestled in the mountains in a quiet gated community, Cranberry View Lodge is less than a mile and a half off Highways 194 and 19E, with downtown Banner Elk just 15 minutes away. Beech and Sugar Mountain ski resorts are both about 25 minutes’ drive, and Grandfather Mountain is just 30 minutes away as is Elizabethton TN. Boone and Appalachian State, as well as Johnson City TN, are all about 50 minutes away. Welcome to Bearinger’s Bluff in the Village of Eagles Nest! On a short road with no through traffic you’ll find Bearinger’s Bluff, our first five bedroom home in the Village. Four King beds and then a bunk room allow the whole family to enjoy! With parking for three vehicles, a few steps are all you need to take to enter the main level. Walk into the gorgeous dining area and spacious kitchen. The leathered granite counters and contrasting island have space for several chefs. The dining table seats 6-8 guests and another 4 can sit at the bar. Off of the kitchen is a full laundry center with counters and a sink that opens to the mudroom. Across the hall is a half bath. In the living room, there is a gas fireplace, a large TV, and access to the deck. The main level deck has a two person hot tub and a wood-burning fireplace. Cook dinner on the Blackstone! It is located just off of the kitchen and living room to the right. One bedroom is on the main level, with a King suite. Clouds Rest at Eagles Nest is a gorgeous, custom-built home with year long views over the Elk River Valley. There is parking for the entire group at Clouds Rest, with a flat gravel parking area and two bays of the garage for guests to use. Three steps to enter provide easy access to the main floor. Enter the front door and you’ll immediately see the gorgeous views through the large windows along the open concept great room. To the right is a beautiful kitchen with Cafe stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets, Flexbrew coffee for grounds or k-cups, and granite countertops. The island seats four, and the dining table comfortably seats up to 14. Tongue and groove ceilings house the built in Sonos speakers for the 75" tv over the gas log fireplace. Leather sofas and chairs give you a place to sit and relax. On the main level are two Master King suites. To the left is a master king with deck access. The tiled shower is zero-entry for accessibility with an overhead rain shower plus a handheld wand and grab bars. There is also a large soaking tub and double granite vanity. To the left, near the garage entrance, is the second Master King, also with deck access. It has a large tiled shower with zero-entry access and grab bars, a built in bench, and the same overhead rain shower plus a handheld wand. Across the hall is the laundry center, complete with a sink and counters. Downstairs is the entertainment room. There is a kitchen with a full sized fridge, sink, and wine cooler. Guests may use the 18 bottle wine cooler for drinks, or bring their own pods for the Nespresso coffee machine. Please inquire for details. - The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months. -All stays at Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the luxurious facilities and features in the development. - Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATV’s. - Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment etc.) - The summer concerts are open to all guests however there may be an admission fee for each person and cash bar for food and drinks. - All linens and towels provided for your stay. - Please note that all Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception. - Eagles Nest is an up and coming community, with construction currently going on in several of its neighborhoods. Construction noises may be heard from 7am-7pm Monday-Saturday. Additional Notes: - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided. - Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am - Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent. - Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates. - No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home. - Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook. - No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable. - 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. - Please note that the distances shown on VRBO’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations. - CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of he deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
