OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS: Driving and access in the winter: Winter in the White Mountains can be beautiful—and occasionally intense! The driveway is plowed after about 3 inches of snow (typical for NH), and once accumulation exceeds a foot, our plow team also clears our deck. Since the living and dining areas overlook the deck, you might see them early in the morning after a snowy night. Shovels are also provided if you prefer to clear a bit on your own. A bucket of salt is also provided near the entrance for guests to use if the stairs get icy. Cars and mid-size SUVs can park below the deck with direct access to the house from the ground level, so there’s no need to take the exterior stairs during snowy weather. If your car doesn’t fit under the deck, please park to the left of the entryway stairs, as close to the deck as possible, so there’s room for snow removal. Only one vehicle fits there.
