The cabin sits on a county road that’s regularly plowed in the winter, but during snowy months (typically December–April), we recommend an AWD or 4x4 vehicle with good tire tread for a smoother, stress-free arrival. Mountain weather can shift quickly, so it’s always a good idea to check road conditions before heading out and plan accordingly. Colorado also has winter driving traction laws in place, so be sure your vehicle meets the requirements to avoid any issues along the way. Speaking of snow, this is the Colorado Rockies so be prepared! We do our best to plow the area in front of the cabin and shovel the walkway. However, the remote nature of this place can make these tasks delayed. We do provide a shovel in case you need to clear a path. Just past the entry, you’ll find a dining table, coat hooks, and a bench, with tall windows that open into the living area. Sixth Street Victorian — Downtown Leadville

Leadville, CO, US
3 Bedrooms 6 Guests
Aug 26 - 28
$135 night

Sixth Street Victorian is an updated 1880s home on West 6th Street in downtown Leadville, Colorado, a half-block off Main Street (Harrison Avenue). It sleeps up to 6 guests across three separate queen bedrooms — two upstairs and one on the main level — making it well suited to three couples or a small group of friends. The location is the home’s strongest feature: guests step out the door and reach restaurants, shops, cafes, and the Leadville 100 race start/finish within a one-to-two-minute walk, with mountain views from the home and patio. The interior keeps its 1880s Victorian character alongside a full kitchen, a living room, fast WiFi, and a smart TV. This is a compact historic home rather than a large new-build rental — the layout is efficient, with a single bathroom and no on-site laundry. Self check-in is handled by a smart lock, and rear parking is available. Lake Turquoise is about 12 minutes away; Ski Cooper and Copper Mountain are each about 25 minutes; Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Beaver Creek are 30–50 minutes east. Summer brings hiking, biking, fishing, and 4x4 routes including Mosquito Pass (13,186 ft). No air conditioning — the 10,152 ft elevation keeps nights in the 40s–50s even in mid-summer. Not pet-friendly. Exterior security cameras on the property. Managed by Traverse Hospitality. If it snows more than several inches, look for snow removal signs to make sure you don’t violate any temporary parking rules. There is a security camera on the front porch and in the back. There is also one in the laundry room, which is blocked off from guests to safeguard the owner’s belongings. For stays longer than 20 days, a mid-stay cleaning is required and an additional fee of $150 will apply. Josephine — Restored Leadville 4BR Victorian

Leadville, CO, US
4 Bedrooms 9 Guests
Aug 26 - 28
$123 night

Josephine is a restored four-bedroom Victorian a block off Harrison Avenue in downtown Leadville, built for a family or two families traveling together. It sleeps eight across four queen bedrooms and two bathrooms, with an updated eat-in kitchen, a formal dining room, a living room, a TV den, an upstairs living room, and a wood-paneled library to spread out in — plus an outdoor hot tub. Restaurants, shops, and the Mineral Belt trailheads are a short walk; Ski Cooper and Copper Mountain are about 25 minutes. Listed with @BookTraverse. Josephine is a restored Victorian home in downtown Leadville with four queen bedrooms across two floors, sleeping eight, and two full bathrooms (one with a tub, one with a shower). The updated eat-in kitchen has full-size appliances and a cook’s pantry and opens to a formal dining room, and there are multiple living spaces — a main living room, a TV den, an upstairs living room, and a wood-paneled library. Outside there is an outdoor hot tub, a gas grill, and a backyard, plus a laundry room and free on-street parking. Worth knowing: this is a historic Victorian — it has genuine character and, like all old homes, it creaks; the decorative fireplace is not operable. Parking is on-street and can be tight, as Leadville’s Victorians sit close together. There is no air conditioning; Leadville rarely needs it at 10,152 ft. You have the entire private home — all four bedrooms, every living space, the kitchen, the library, the backyard, and the hot tub. Free on-street parking out front fits roughly one to two cars. Before arrival you’ll receive an email link to our digital guidebook — it’s the only place check-in details live, so please open it before you travel. Leadville is walkable and this home is in the heart of downtown — Main Street is a block away, so park the car and walk to dinner. Parking is free but on-street and can be tight on a historic block; plan for one to two cars. In winter the free Lake County shuttle connects to Copper Mountain. License on file with the City of Leadville. Not pet friendly. No A/C. Elevation is 10,152 ft — hydrate on day one; altitude sickness is real and not refundable. The fireplace shown in photos adds character but is no longer operable and cannot be used. This is a restored Victorian — it creaks, floors aren’t perfectly level, and that’s part of a 19th-century home. Parking is free but on-street and can be tight; in winter, keeping a space clear can take some shoveling. Plan accordingly. A required mid-stay cleaning applies on stays longer than 15 days (details in the guidebook). License number: 004542

Old St. Vincent’s 303 — Sauna | 14ft Loft | Mtn Views | Walk Downtown

Leadville, CO, US
1 Bedrooms 4 Guests
Aug 27 - 29
$220 night

Old St. Vincent’s 303 is on the third-floor in one of Leadville’s historic landmark buildings — 14ft cathedral ceilings, exposed brick, a private infrared sauna, and mountain views from three blocks off Main Street. Built for couples, solo travelers, and remote workers who want character over square footage. Listed with @BookTraverse ✦ Private infrared sauna ✦ 14ft cathedral ceilings + exposed brick ✦ mountain views from the 3rd floor ✦ 3 blocks to Harrison St (Main St) — walk everywhere ✦ Dedicated desk with monitor, keyboard, mouse ✦ Sleeps 4 — king bed + trundle (two twins) ✦ 35 min to Ski Cooper, 40 min to Copper Mountain Old St. Vincent’s 303 sits on the third floor of a 19th-century historic building three blocks off Harrison Street, Leadville’s main drag. The unit was built into the original brickwork — 14ft cathedral ceilings, exposed brick walls, oversized windows pulling in light from every side, and the kind of architectural character you can’t fake in new construction. Listed with @BookTraverse What’s inside: ✦ Private infrared sauna — yours alone, not a shared building amenity ✦ 14ft cathedral ceilings + original exposed brick ✦ mountain views from the 3rd floor — every window faces something worth looking at ✦ Full kitchen — oven, electric range, microwave, full-size refrigerator, water kettle, fully stocked for cooking real meals ✦ Smart TV with streaming ✦ Dedicated workspace — desk with external monitor, keyboard, and mouse (rare in a vacation rental) ✦ Yoga mat, hangboard, and foam roller for movement and recovery ✦ Smoke-free, historic building ➔ Sleeping arrangement (sleeps 4) Bedroom: King bed Living area: Trundle bed with two twin mattresses ➔ 3 Pros / 2 Cons (so you know what you’re booking) Pros: - A truly distinctive space — most Leadville rentals are condos or cabins; this is a cathedral-ceiling loft inside a historic landmark - The sauna and workspace combo make this work for restorative trips, remote-work weeks, and ski recovery — not just sightseeing - Walking distance to every restaurant, bar, and shop on Harrison Street Cons: - Historic building, original windows — the unit gets cold on the coldest winter nights. Space heaters, baseboard, gas fireplace (with timer), and extra blankets are all here, but plan to dress warm and don’t expect modern insulation. - 3rd floor, no elevator — all access is via stairs. Plan accordingly if you have heavy gear, mobility limits, or small kids. Entire unit is yours — full private access to the space, the sauna, and the workspace. Self-check-in via lockbox; you’ll receive a link to our digital guidebook with the code, parking instructions, and stair access details before arrival. Two parking spots available per unit. No RVs, boats, or trailer campers in the lot. Our local team is available throughout your stay if you need anything. You’ll need a car to reach Leadville — there’s no reliable rideshare here, and public transit doesn’t run from any major airport. Once you’re in town, you can walk to everything downtown from OSV 303. From Denver International (DEN): ~2hr 15min drive via I-70 W to Hwy 91 S over Fremont Pass (11,318 ft). 4WD or chains recommended Nov–Apr. From Eagle County Regional (EGE): ~1hr 15min drive, lower mountain pass exposure than the Denver route. From Aspen/Pitkin County (ASE): ~2hr in summer via Independence Pass (closed mid-Oct to late May), 2hr 30min in winter via the long way around. Once here: - Downtown Leadville: 3-block walk - Trailheads, ski areas, lakes: 15–40 min drive - Free street parking, plus 2 designated spots per unit in the building lot License # 004996 For stays longer than 15 days, a mid-stay cleaning is required and an additional fee of $150 will apply. This helps us maintain a high standard of cleanliness and ensures the home stays comfortable for the duration of your stay. Building & access: - Old St. Vincent’s is a historic building. No elevator — 3rd floor access is via stairs only. Plan for heavy gear and small kids accordingly. - Original windows + historic insulation — the unit gets cold on the coldest winter nights. Space heaters, baseboard heat, wall heaters, and extra blankets are provided. Dress warm Dec–Feb. - Parents: baseboard heaters can get hot — supervise small children near them. HOA rules (Old St. Vincent’s): - Not pet-friendly - Smoke-free building, including balconies, stairwells, and entryways - 2 vehicles per unit max — additional cars must park on the street - No RVs, boats, or trailer campers in the parking lot Altitude: Leadville sits at 10,152 ft. Altitude sickness is real — symptoms include headache, dizziness, and nausea, usually in the first 24 hours. Hydrate aggressively, take it easy on day one, and consider travel insurance if you’re prone to altitude effects. We can’t refund stays due to altitude sickness. Wildlife: This is a mountain town. You may occasionally see small critters in the building or on the grounds. We pest-manage actively, but please keep windows and doors closed. It’s the reason this place exists — Mt Massive frames the front window like a postcard. + Walkable to everything in Leadville’s downtown — restaurants, the brewery, the bookstore, the historic mining district. + Pet setup is real — gated yard, doggy door, no song and dance. − No A/C. Leadville sits at 10,152 ft and rarely needs it; the windows do the work. − Wide steps lead down to the unit. Manageable but not step-free, and the unit upstairs (Hilltop Haven) does have stairs. You have the entire 2-bedroom lower unit, the fenced yard, and on-site parking. Self check-in via smart lock — your code is sent the day of arrival. The Hilltop Suite is the lower unit of a small triplex. There is a separate 1-bedroom unit next door and a 3-bedroom home (the Hilltop Haven) above. You will not have access to those units, the owner’s closet, or the upstairs hot tub. After booking you’ll receive an email with a link to our digital guidebook — that’s where check-in details, the door code, and the WiFi password live. (The guidebook also handles pet fees and any add-ons.) Wide steps lead down to the unit. Manageable for most guests but not step-free. You’ll want a car. Leadville sits roughly 2 hours from Denver International Airport (~110 mi) and 1 hour from Eagle County Airport (~50 mi); both are straightforward drives. Free on-site parking at the Suite — no meters, no garages. Once you’re here, downtown Leadville is a 5-minute walk and most trailheads, ski areas, and lakes are within a 30-minute drive. There is no rideshare reliability in Leadville — Uber/Lyft are not a backup plan. Tesla / EV drivers: there’s a charger on-site (Tesla connector). Mention it when you book if you’d like to confirm availability. Winter driving note: Highway 24 is plowed and well-maintained, but a 4WD/AWD vehicle with proper tires is strongly recommended December through April. License # 001640 Sleeps 4 · 2 queen beds · 1 full bathroom · Pet-friendly (2 max) For stays longer than 15 days, a mid-stay cleaning is required and an additional fee of $150 will apply. Leadville rarely needs it — open windows do the work even in July. - Altitude is real. Leadville is 10,152 ft. Hydrate, take it easy day one, and consider travel insurance if you’re prone to altitude sickness — we can’t refund altitude-related early checkouts. - Quiet hours 10 PM–8 AM. There are neighbors above; please be considerate. - Pets: $60 pet fee, 2 pets max. Pets cannot be left unattended at the property — there are local doggy daycare options if you need them. - Mountain wildlife: occasional small critters and insects come with the territory.
