The Russian River is your front yard, and Pacific Ocean is just around the bend. So, bring your kayak or rent one, pack a picnic, and walk the oceans’ edge, hike a trail or two, and view life a little differently. Located in view of "Penny Island" – a bird and wildlife sanctuary - in the Russian River Estuary in Jenner by the Sea on the California coast, guests praise the views, quick walk to fabulous food, and access to miles of trails and beaches to explore. Know Before You Book: Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Erinleigh by the Sea is 2 people not including kids under 3 years old. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times. A Note About Our Cleaning Fees: Thank you for supporting our local business! When you stay with us, you support local families at work. We think everyone deserves a decent living wage, and we make sure to set the rates and fees so that our cleaners earn a living wage in beautiful Sonoma County. Parking: There is parking for a maximum of 2 vehicles along the fence and in front of the garage. The garage is not available for parking. RVs, trailers, and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance. Bed Sizes: Bedroom: Queen bed. Heating: There is a propane “woodstove” which heats the whole cabin plus a smaller bathroom heater. Cooling: The house does not have air conditioning. Being at the coast, the nighttime temps drop and just opening some windows is usually enough to cool the house. There is a ceiling fan. Kitchen: Erinleigh by the Sea does not have a dishwasher or garbage disposal as it’s on a septic system. The kitchen is fully stocked (minus groceries) for your stay. Bathrooms: The bathroom includes a shower over a classic cast iron bathtub. Washer/Dryer: This home does not provide a washer/dryer. Location: Properties along Hwy 1 are a mix of permanent residents and vacation rentals, families, working folks, hotels, resorts, restaurants, and shops. To honor this balance, we ask guests to park only in the spaces described above and respect the quiet hours in addition to general family-friendly, residential neighborhood expectations. Your actions along the estuary greatly impact our environment. Thank you for helping to continue the tradition of a mutually beneficial relationship between vacation rentals, local community, and nature! Road and Other Noise: Erinleigh by the Sea is located directly next to and below the Hwy 1. Traffic is busiest on fair weather weekends and tends to quiet in the evenings. Not as much of the traffic noise carries to the house as it is situated below the road and there are new windows, but sound carries across the water, and you’ll hear life music from Café Aquatica and folks paddling the estuary during the day. Wildlife and waves can be noisy too! Road to Erinleigh by the Sea: No matter how you get here, the last part of your journey is along Hwy 1 which is twisty and turny in sections. With drivers in a hurry and taking their time. Please be cautious when pulling onto and off the road. Rural Setting and Critters: We live in a rural area with ants, spiders, rodents, and larger critters from raccoons and mountain lions to bears. While we make the best effort to protect against them from coming into homes, we also do not use poison where it can harm wildlife, pets, and children. And keeping all critters out is simply not possible. We appreciate your help in putting tasty smelling items into refrigerators, proper disposal of trash, and understanding that ants (especially) come in without warning and may not have been present at the time of cleaning. Cell Phones: Please be aware that many cell phones will not have service at this location. There is wifi. Stairs: While the living areas in the house are all one level, there is a flight of stairs from the parking area to the front door. Please look at the photos if stairs are a concern. Pet Policy: No Pets. Service animals are always accommodated under the ADA. Fencing: The area between the house and Hwy 1 is fenced with a locking gate. The rest of the property is not fenced. A Note About TVs: The Smart TV has Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and hundreds of streaming channels. Guests are welcome to bring their login info for these apps. The television does not have cable services. River Access: While perched above the river, there is not direct access to the water from the house. The Jenner Boat Launch is 0.2 miles from the house and the perfect (safe) location to launch your kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard. Conditions vary from year to year and can change rapidly – use your best judgement to determine your risk level and comfort in the water/physical activity. Sonoma County TOT Number: 3110

Seventeen Sequoias is a hidden oasis on Austin Creek. A gardener’s sanctuary with an orchard of more than a dozen mature fruit trees including multiple types of apples, three kinds of plums, an Asian pear apple, D’Anjou pear, figs, peach, persimmons, quince and kiwi vines - as well as an area of raised garden beds and an abundance of blackberries. Flowering bulbs, hydrangeas, and extensive succulent gardens mingle between the 17+ ancient redwood trees including several fairy rings. Garden paths wind amid the plantings and natives that also host hummingbirds, butterflies and other wildlife. Explore and experience this 1 acre property as it transforms through the seasons. In fair weather, bring your water wings, floaties, and water shoes to float or walk in the creek - skipping stones and, if you’re lucky, watching otters! The ping-pong table is rated for year-round use and it is next to the outdoor seating area by the cottage. Your retreat at Seventeen Sequoias extends into the recently remodeled house as a place to relax and recharge any time of year. While we hope you don’t need it, the second bedroom doubles as a home office. Fold the Queen Murphy bed up and out of the way, plug in your laptop and get some work done and go back to playing! Lastly, in a creative turn, the laundry room is also a sleeping nook! A single twin bed cozies in with a privacy curtain. The newest addition – a remodeled cottage in the back yard adds another bedroom, full bathroom, and extensive living room. An antique poker table and movie posters set the laid-back vibe. Meyer Getaway - Spacious home with outstanding ocean views near Black Point Beach

Sea Ranch, CA, US
3 Bedrooms 6 Guests
Aug 16 - 18
$326 night

Expansive Pacific views from the living room and ocean-side deck anchor this spacious 3-bedroom Sea Ranch home for 6. Pelicans pass the windows as fog lifts to sun; a stone fireplace and hardwood floors recall one of the community’s earliest homes. An eight-minute walk reaches The Sea Ranch Lodge or Moonraker; Black Point Beach is an easy stroll. A private courtyard hot tub, den, and fenced yard — plus Sea Ranch pools, tennis, and bluff trails. Meyer Getaway is a spacious, sun-filled Sea Ranch home on an ocean-view lot in prestigious Unit One, where a wooden bridge crosses your private creek and a garden gate opens into a slightly walled courtyard. Spend mornings with coffee on the deck as the Pacific fills the windows, afternoons walking to Black Point Beach or the bluff trails, and evenings around the stone fireplace as pelicans glide past and coastal fog thins to stars. Cross the bridge, step through the garden, and enter separate living and dining rooms with hardwood floors, wormwood walls, a driftwood door, and a local-rock fireplace — hallmarks of one of The Sea Ranch’s oldest homes, thoughtfully updated for today’s guests. The gas kitchen, den with TV, and in-home entertainment (TV, streaming-ready WiFi) handle rainy afternoons; a Weber grill, washer/dryer, and driveway parking keep practical stays easy. The Sea Ranch Lodge is about an eight-minute walk — good for breakfast, a drink, or picking up a few things. Head the other way and you’re at Moonraker in roughly the same time, with a pool, sauna, and tennis when you want a break from the house. Black Point Beach, the biggest sandy stretch in Sea Ranch, is an easy walk as well. Bluff trails start close by, and if you’re picturing deep-in-the-redwoods Sea Ranch, that’s mostly on the other side of Highway 1 — here you’re on the open coast, with the Pacific out front. OUTDOOR LIVING The ocean-side deck is the main stage — wide-open Pacific views with room to dine and watch the weather roll through. On the east, a grassy fenced courtyard gives kids a safe place to run. The private hot tub sits on the deck in the courtyard (no reservation). Fox and deer often cross the larger Unit One lots; you’re tucked into a garden, not a redwood grove. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Choose from 3 bedrooms: a king, a queen, and a twin room with two beds in separate alcoves plus a work desk. Altogether, the home comfortably sleeps 6 — each guest can claim a quiet corner. PROPERTY AMENITIES -- 3 bedrooms, 2 bath -- Expansive Pacific views (living room and ocean-side deck) -- Wood-burning fireplace (local stone) -- Private hot tub (courtyard deck) -- Fenced courtyard lawn COMMUNITY AMENITIES (at Sea Ranch recreation centers) -- Heated pools and saunas (at Del Mar, Moonraker, and Ohlson rec centers) -- Tennis and pickleball courts (at rec centers) -- Miles of coastal bluff trails Meyer Getaway sits in The Sea Ranch on the Sonoma Coast — a planned community of meadows, bluff trails, and open Pacific views. You’re an easy walk from The Sea Ranch Lodge and Moonraker Recreation Center; Black Point Beach and the Black Point headland trails are minutes away. By car: community heated pool (South) ~3 minutes, Pebble Beach access trail ~3 minutes, Black Point headland ~4 minutes. Explore 50 miles of trails, tidepools at low tide, and heated community pools, then dinner at the Lodge. Gualala (10 minutes south) has groceries, restaurants, and fuel; Jenner and Bodega Bay are scenic drives farther south. Sea Ranch is about 2.5 hours north of San Francisco -- take Highway 101 to Highway 1 for one of California’s most scenic coastal drives. The nearest airport is Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa, roughly 90 minutes east. A car is the way to go for exploring the area. Aug 23 - 25
$226 night

Austin Creek rushes past your deck at this whimsical cottage, where a sleeping loft and creative touches set the mood. Your dog will love exploring the fenced yard while you soak up the redwood-filtered light from colorful Adirondack chairs. This cheerful 2-bedroom retreat sleeps 4 and sits directly on the creek. Just 15 minutes from Guerneville’s restaurants and 30 minutes from dramatic Salt Point State Park. Spend mornings on the deck as mist lifts off the Russian River, afternoons floating the river or visiting Korbel and Joseph Jewell tasting rooms, and evenings around the firepit with the day’s bottles. The sectional faces a wood-burning stove (firewood not provided) and smart TV beneath vaulted wood-planked ceilings, glass doors framing the redwoods that hold the cottage in. A staircase climbs to a small loft sitting area above. White cabinets and stainless appliances meet a gas range in the galley, with glass pendants hanging over the breakfast bar where two navy stools wait for morning coffee. A four-seat dining table sets the group for dinner. OUTDOOR LIVING Your creekside deck seats six with direct views of Austin Creek. Fire up the gas grill for dinner, or gather at the ground-level picnic table under mature trees. The wood-burning firepit (firewood not provided) sets the scene for s’mores and stargazing. A fenced yard lets dogs roam safely, and an outdoor shower rinses off creek adventures. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The master bedroom offers a queen near the full bath with walk-in shower. Upstairs, sloped wood-planked ceilings shelter a queen plus twin-over-twin bunk for kids, with a private balcony overlooking the trees. The living room pull-out sleeper adds flexibility. Capacity: 4 adults + 2 children. PROPERTY AMENITIES -- Dog-friendly with fenced yard (1 dog up to 50 lbs.) -- Wood-burning stove and firepit -- Gas grill -- Washer/dryer -- Full kitchen with dishwasher -- Outdoor shower Step inside cathedral ceilings and a peaked tower of clerestory windows — colorful, modern-rustic, and creek-side under tall trees. The whole cottage is yours, dogs welcome, with a balcony off the upper level and the creek setting wrapping around. Let yourself in with the keypad code; up to three cars fit in the parking area. Cazadero is about an hour and 45 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and River Road — a scenic drive into a quiet redwood canyon. You’ll find three parking spaces in the driveway (street parking not allowed). A car makes the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast easy to explore, from redwood groves to coastal bluffs. Cell service gets patchy in the redwoods, so downloading offline maps before you arrive is worth it. The cottage stays naturally cool under the redwood canopy — you’ll find the forest shade and creek breezes keep temperatures comfortable without air conditioning. Your dog (50 lbs. max) will love the fully fenced yard and nearby trails, though note that Austin Creek State Recreation Area doesn’t allow dogs on trails. Take advantage of the outdoor shower after creek adventures! The primary renter must be 25 or older. While the property has internet, remember that Cazadero is chosen by guests specifically to disconnect — cell service is extremely limited throughout the area. The creek access mentioned is seasonal, with loose sand or rocks on the bank. Summer offers the best wading and swimming conditions, while winter brings dramatic rushing water best enjoyed from your deck. Internet provider details not specified in data. Sunrise Mountain Retreat - Cazadero Mountain Hot Tub Cabin in the Redwoods

Cazadero, CA, US
4 Bedrooms 8 Guests
Aug 16 - 18
$379 night

Soak in the hot tub as redwood shadows lengthen across the deck of this dog-friendly hillside home, ten minutes off the highway but a world away near Cazadero. Four bedrooms and three baths sleep eight, with a gas fireplace inside and a deck out back. Northwood Golf Club sits 8 miles down the road; Armstrong Redwoods and the Sonoma Coast are within a half-hour drive. Spend mornings with coffee on the deck as light filters through the redwoods, afternoons swinging clubs at Northwood Golf Club (8 miles) or wandering the giants at Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, and evenings on the deck after a Sonoma Coast State Park beach day at Goat Rock. Settle into the living room where sunlight pours through oversized windows and a leather recliner faces the gas fireplace beneath a wall-mounted TV — exposed timber beams overhead keep the cabin feel. Cook on the granite-topped island with stainless appliances and a four-seat breakfast bar, the open layout keeping whoever’s stirring the sauce in the conversation. Gather the group at the dining table under the timber-beamed ceiling and chandelier when dinner’s ready. Cooling note: ceiling fans and cross-breezes only — no central cooling, which the forest canopy and elevation generally handle on their own. OUTDOOR LIVING Step onto the upper deck for alfresco meals at the dining table under the red umbrella, with forested views in every direction. Pour a glass at the lower brick paver patio, where a square fire table anchors woven seating for nightcaps under the stars. Slip into the private hot tub when the fog rolls in. A raised-bed vegetable garden and artificial-turf play area round out the yard for kids and dogs. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Four bedrooms sleep up to eight across three full baths: - Bedroom 1: King bed - Bedroom 2: King bed - Bedroom 3: Queen bed - Bedroom 4: Queen bed PROPERTY AMENITIES - Private hot tub on the deck - Gas fireplace in the living room - Gas grill for outdoor cooking - Dog-friendly with enclosed yard - In-unit washer and dryer A heads-up for the drive in: Russian River area roads are narrow and windy, and the home sits on a hillside with stairs — worth knowing before you book. Quiet hours 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.; max occupancy eight. Climb up to a wall of windows on the upper level — treehouse-feel, towering evergreens, and a stone fireplace under exposed beams — then drift out to the private hot tub on the deck. You’ve got the whole home, dogs welcome, with an enclosed yard, outdoor dining, and a BBQ. Punch in the keypad code on arrival; up to six cars fit on-site (the garage stays closed). Cazadero is about an hour and 45 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and River Road — a scenic drive into a quiet redwood canyon. You’ll have parking for up to 6 vehicles in the driveway. A car makes the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast easy to explore, from redwood groves to coastal bluffs. Cell service gets patchy in the redwoods, so downloading offline maps before you arrive is worth it. While there’s no air conditioning, the home stays naturally cool thanks to the redwood canopy and mountain elevation — ceiling fans in bedrooms provide additional comfort. Your two dogs are welcome! Please follow these guidelines: never leave pets unattended, keep them off furniture, use a mat under water bowls, wipe paws when entering, and always clean up waste while keeping pets out of garden beds. The smart lock makes arrival easy, but cell service is spotty so save your access code before arriving. The vegetable garden is established and thriving — feel free to harvest any ripe produce during your stay! Internet is available, though many guests embrace the digital detox that Cazadero naturally provides. The fire pit is decorative only. The primary renter must be 21 or older.
