Welcome to a home that breathes. Casa De Azel is not a standard build; it is an architectural gem constructed from straw bales and earth, designed to keep you cool in the Sonoma summer and cozy during the winter. To stay here is to live inside a piece of art. The walls are thick, organic, and comforting, featuring art niches built directly into the cob. Above you, magnificent curved wooden beams sweep across the ceilings, mirroring the rolling hills outside. There are almost no sharp angles here—just soft curves, radiant heated wood floors that feel amazing underfoot, and a profound sense of quiet that only an earthen home can provide. We’ve added a whimsical chalkboard wall—perfect for announcing the evening’s wine menu or giving children a creative outlet while you cook. And yes, when you stand at the kitchen sink, you have a direct view of the natural pond and the ducks that call it home. The Great Outdoors: The property layout is a study in relaxation: house, patio, lawn, then pond. Step through the double doors of the dining room (which seats 8) to the back patio. The outdoor dining table is tucked under the eaves, protecting you from the midday sun or a light evening rain. The 5-acre grounds feature thoughtful Mediterranean landscaping that thrives in this climate. Lounge on the outdoor sofa on the brick patio, grill up a feast on the BBQ, or move to the handcrafted stone fire circle. Sitting there with a glass of local Pinot, watching the sunset hit the mountains and the migratory ducks land on the pond, is the ultimate wine country experience. The sleeping quarters are designed for deep rest. The Primary Bedroom is a sanctuary featuring a King-sized bed, comfortable seating, and glass double doors that open directly to the outside. It showcases the home’s cob construction with art niches built right into the walls and built in shelving. The second bedroom offers a plush Queen bed, a bedside table, and serene views. Modern Organic 3BR Oasis w/ Creek&Near State Park

Kenwood, CA, US
3 Bedrooms 6 Guests
Aug 26 - 28
$263 night

Unwind in this peaceful woodland cottage in the heart of Kenwood. With 2 bedrooms and a cozy bunk room, 1 bath, and a bright, open living space, this 1,100 sq. ft. retreat sits right along a tranquil scenic creek. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, spacious deck, and easy access to 20+ wineries, Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, and nearby towns. Perfect for families, remote workers, and wine country explorers. Creekside Hideaway is where farmhouse charm gets a contemporary edit. Sitting under the canopy of a giant oak and towering redwoods, this home has been reimagined as an organic, texture-rich retreat. Step indoors to a space that feels airy and curated. We have fully embraced an "organic contemporary" aesthetic, highlighting the home’s natural beauty with white-painted planked walls, warm natural wood floors, and a pitched ceiling with exposed beams. The living room is anchored by an overstuffed sectional, woven jute rugs, and rattan chairs—a perfect blend of style and comfort. The focal point of the room is the white painted brick fireplace; a warm wood mantle perfectly frames the fireplace insert and the TV mounted above, blending cozy warmth with modern entertainment. We designed this space to help you slow down. There is a dedicated reading nook with classic farmhouse windows that swing open to invite the fresh air and sunshine in. Just beside it, you’ll find a vintage-style record player in the cabinet. The best way to enjoy this house? Pick a record, sink into the reading chair, and listen to music mixed with the sound of the creek outside. The kitchen is simple, clean, and delightful. Crisp white cabinets contrast with the views of the outdoors from the kitchen sink. It is stocked for real life, featuring a gas range and design-forward touches like the SMEG drip coffee maker and electric kettle. You can eat at the kitchen table for four, or take your plates outside to the deck. The cottage features three distinct bedrooms, all designed for deep rest. The primary is a bright, airy retreat featuring a king bed, elevated by romantic wallpaper, brass lamps, and tasteful decor. The bed faces the creek so you can wake up to spectacular views. The guest room offers a comfortable queen bed framed by brass embellishments and charming farmhouse doors. Finally, the bunk room is perfect for friends or little ones, featuring a twin-over-double bunk bed. This room has a door leading outside and houses the home’s washer and dryer. All rooms have access to the home’s simple, clean bathroom which features a shower, sink, and commode. Both the guest room and the primary’s architecture leave the top portions of the walls open where it would meet the ceiling. This adds to the home’s charm and is shown in the photos. The bunk room’s walls go up to the ceiling. The magic of this property is the water. Step out onto the spacious deck that overlooks the creek—it’s the ultimate spot for alfresco dining under the trees. Just off the deck, we’ve set up a gas fire pit for evening conversation. If you want to get closer to nature, wander down to the water’s edge where we have placed chairs right by the creek. You can literally dip your toes in the water or just sit back and let the current act as your soundtrack. Guests have private access to the entire home, including all indoor and outdoor spaces. This includes the living areas, bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, spacious deck, fire pit area, and the creekside seating spot. The property is exclusively yours during your stay. Self check-in is available, and you’ll receive all access details through our secure guest portal after completing the quick pre-check-in verification. A grand outdoor fireplace anchors the patio where you can fire up the gas grill. Swimming in the creek is not permitted for safety reasons. Your forest setting means wildlife sightings are common — deer often graze nearby at dusk. Cell service can be spotty in the hills, but the Wi-Fi is reliable for streaming and remote work. Quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM help preserve the tranquil atmosphere. During certain seasons, there are ants that may make their way into the house. The primary renter must be 25 or older. License number: TVR21-0016,LIC24-0259

Welcome to Bungalow Twins in Glen Ellen, just a short drive from local wineries and restaurants. Bungalow Twins is a chic and stylish sanctuary perched up a private road. Each bungalow has unique touches yet is similar in design and amenities.  What We Love About This Home  The two bungalows are separated from each other by a wonderful yard featuring a large swimming pool and patio area, indoor/outdoor eating areas, a textured expanse of xeriscape gardens and shady heritage Oaks. Well manicured paths connect the two separate homes. Much of the entertaining and socializing will likely take place under the steel-beam and wood-framed outdoor living area by the pool. This minimalist and elegant space houses a full living room suite, formal dining for 12 and a complete set of outdoor dinner wear in a modern metal hutch. Warmed by infrared heaters, this open air pavilion is welcoming throughout the year. Bungalow One Details With a wall of glass panel doors, this bungalow opens directly to the Pavilion. A fully-equipped chef’s kitchen with island seating looks onto the living area with a gas fireplace and rustic, wood tiled wall. A Thermador gas range and industrial grade appliances make cooking a dream. High ceilings, recessed lighting and skylights brighten this space while honey-colored wood floors add warmth. A large flat screen TV and bookshelves (stocked with original screenplays!) offer entertainment options within the serene layout. The primary suite with King bed enjoys a private, covered patio with forest views. There is a stall shower and deep soaking tub overlooking the countryside in the exquisitely tiled primary bath. Separated by sliding barn doors, space is maximized to create a generous bath with dual vanities. There is an American Leather Queen sofa bed in the living area. Bungalow Two Details Separated by concrete walkways and tall dry grasses shaded by oak and manzanita, Bungalow Two is another study in modern, rustic design with wide plank wood floors, white walls and sleek modern furniture. Top-sliding barn doors and pitched ceilings add to the spacious feel in the living/kitchen area. A butcher-block center island offers casual dining for 4. There is a Bosch gas stove top, retro-style refrigerator and top-grade stainless steel dishwasher, and the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking! (Note: There is no oven in Bungalow Two.) The primary bedroom has a queen bed and private door to the spacious bathroom. A floating dual vanity and the large walk-in shower add to the clean, spa-like ambiance of the bath. There is a large, flat screen TV and American Leather Queen sofa bed in the living area. Olive & Oak | 75-Ft Lap Pool + Hot Tub + Sauna | 40 Private Acres

Glen Ellen, CA, US
5 Bedrooms 10 Guests
Aug 30 - Sep 1
$905 night

Forty acres of oak-studded hillside wrap around Olive & Oak, a modern retreat set high on Trinity Road where the Mayacamas foothills roll down toward the Valley of the Moon. Getting here is part of the appeal: a winding seven-minute climb up from the valley floor, curve after curve, until the road hands you over to something that feels entirely your own. Privacy is the whole point — the nearest distraction is the view, which reaches across ridgelines and open valley in every direction, and the loudest thing you’ll hear most mornings is birdsong. Walls of glass pull that landscape inside, opening the home’s clean, open-concept layout to light and air from sunrise straight through to the golden-hour glow that settles over the hills each evening. Outside is where the home really shows off. A 75-foot saltwater pool anchors the grounds, long enough for a dedicated swim lane and a real morning workout, framed by a pergola-shaded lounge and an outdoor dining setup made for long, unhurried meals under the open sky. There’s a hot tub for cooler evenings, a sauna for a proper reset, an outdoor shower for rinsing off between swims, and a half bath right off the pool deck so nobody has to track water through the house. A full outdoor kitchen — BBQ plus its own refrigerator — means dinner never has to move indoors, and rows of olive trees and silvery olive bushes give the whole setting a Mediterranean ease that feels right at home in Sonoma. Inside, the floor plan keeps everyone connected. The full kitchen is ready for real cooking and stocked with the everyday essentials — coffee, tea, olive oil, and a lineup of pantry basics — so slow mornings and group dinners come together without a supply run. A separate TV room and den give the crew a place to spread out, and a dedicated laundry room keeps longer stays easy. Every bathroom is stocked with full-size Grown Alchemist bath amenities — proper bottles, not travel minis — so there’s no rationing shampoo on day four. Five bedrooms sleep ten in comfort. Four are set with king beds, each a quiet corner to retreat to, and the fifth holds two twins — an easy fit for kids or friends splitting a room. Every bedroom comes with its own desk and chair, which makes a working morning or a longer stay far simpler than it usually is in a house built for a group. Four full bathrooms and a half bath mean there’s rarely a wait, whether the house is winding down after a day out or gearing up for one. The location threads the needle beautifully. That same seven-minute descent puts you on the Sonoma Valley floor, with roughly fifteen more over the ridge toward the Napa side, and Glen Ellen’s easygoing village — plus the beloved Glen Ellen Village Market for sandwiches and provisions — waiting just down the hill. Jack London State Historic Park sits nearby, with shaded trails, historic ruins, and a hilltop museum to explore, and Sugarloaf Ridge State Park opens up miles of hiking and big-sky stargazing a short drive north. Down valley, the historic Sonoma Plaza rounds things out with its mission, shops, and tree-lined square. It’s a rare kind of home base — remote enough to feel like your own private ridge, close enough to be in the heart of wine country whenever you want to be.
