Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. Usually in the summer the pool will be better 70s- mid 80s. • OUTSIDE MUSIC Any and all amplified outside music is not allowed per the county code. We do not supply any speakers and we do not allow any speakers at the property. • PETS Dogs can be allowed for a one time $30 per dog fee (max 2). • CAMERA Outdoor forward facing recording camera for safety and security. Never inside of the home. The property has a security camera or recording device capable of recording or sending video, audio, or still images. We require hosts to inform guests of any such camera or device located in a common area—even if it will be turned off during a guest’s stay. We prohibit security cameras or recording devices in private spaces like bedrooms, bathrooms, or sleeping areas. • DIRECTIONS GPS should bring you easily to the property • ROAD TO THE HOUSE The road to the house is on about 1 miles dirt road. An SUV will not be needed as they are maintained dirt roads but they can be a little bumpy. • A/C & Heater Rancho Nopales is cooled and heated by central heating and air conditioning through the house and a mini split in the large bedroom with two beds to keep you comfortable all year long. • FIRE Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no open flames fire policy BUT the propane fire pit located outside if allowed. If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire (propane excluded when used IN the propane firepit and propane grill provided) means your rental agreement will be terminated and there is a $200 fine. • HOT TUB + POOL - legal Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Host and Host’s employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities or causes of action of any kind that guest, members of guest’s household or guest’s guests or invitees may have at any time against Host or Host’s agents resulting from guest’s use of the pool. • GUESTS You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests. • IDENTITY VERIFICATION You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash- encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. POOL & SPA SERVICE - The hot tub and pool is serviced every Monday and Thursday by our maintenance pool guy who will access the backyard and be in and out quickly. Usually guests don’t even notice him, but just a heads up in case you see him servicing the spa and pool area. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! The main unit of the house has a master bedroom with an attached bathroom. There are three additional guest bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a nice meal or enjoy a cup of coffee with a Keurig! You can cozy up in the living room by siting by the fire and enjoying a movie or playing games and making memories with your loved ones. The detached ADU has a Murphy bed, full bathroom with a shower, a shuffle board and foosball table, and is the perfect place to practice yoga. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the views Joshua tree has to offer in our backyard that is equipped with hammocks, a spa, fire pit, corn hole, BBQ , and comfortable lounging accommodations. We do not supply any speakers and we do not allow any speakers at the property. • PETS Pets are not allowed at this property due to the homeowner having severe allergies and asthma • DIRECTIONS GPS should bring you easily to the property • A/C & Heater The Alana House is cooled and heated by central heating and air conditioning to keep you comfortable all year long. • FIRE Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no open flames fire policy BUT the propane fire pit located outside if allowed. If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire (propane excluded when used IN the propane firepit and propane grill provided) means your rental agreement will be terminated and there is a $200 fine. • HOT TUB + POOL - legal Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Host and Host’s employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities or causes of action of any kind that guest, members of guest’s household or guest’s guests or invitees may have at any time against Host or Host’s agents resulting from guest’s use of the pool. • GUESTS You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests. • IDENTITY VERIFICATION You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash- encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used. A daily fee applies due to high fuel costs. If heating for multiple days, days must be consecutive. Pool heating is usually not needed from May through September. Pool can be heated for $350 for first day and 250/day after. Please be aware that during the winter season, pool heating takes longer to reach optimal temperatures. No red wine on the concrete island as it will stain. In the past, someone spilled coffee. This is very expensive to redo. We wish they were as durable as the official NBA hoops, but they’re not quite ;) You will be held liable for any damage. Please be respectful of the property as we want as many future guests to enjoy this amenity. PLUMBING: Like ours, most houses in Joshua Tree are on a Septic Tank system. For this reason, nothing can be flushed down the toilet except toilet paper. Following these guidelines will avoid problems with the plumbing. THE SPACE: There is a sense of timelessness that lingers in the fresh air here, with our property giving you a throwback to a better time. To the time you played like a kid all day and indulged like a grown up at night, where you never feel the weight of the world on your shoulders. This stylish compound was designed with privacy in mind and can accommodate up to 14 guests. The main house is a spacious three bedroom, three bathroom residence. The casita, just beyond the hot tub, has two bedrooms and one bathroom. Both spaces have living and kitchen space, are modern and stylish with endless views of mountains and the National Park just beyond the 40 acres. BED & BATH CONFIGURATIONS MAIN HOUSE: -Primary bedroom with King, ensuite bathroom, smart TV and patio -Bedroom 2 & 3 both have a queen size bed and share a bathroom. -Additional full bathroom adjacent to laundry area. CASITA -2 bedrooms with closets, one king and one queen sized bed. -Shared bathroom -Access only provided to groups larger than 4 KITCHEN & DINING The beautiful modern kitchens are fully equipped for any desert-inspired culinary endeavor. The kitchen offers stunning views. In the main house, the breakfast bar sits four and there is ample dining space inside and outside. GAME ROOM Newly added game room for adults and children! Board games, TV, steel tip dart board, foosball, arcade games and ping pong table!! Highlights Include: -Cabinets stocked with complete set of cookware, dinnerware & drinkware. -Premium baking sheets, pots, pans, plates & platters -Microwave, gas stove, toaster, blender & dishwasher in main house. -salt, pepper, sugar and a few spices -Some coffee pods provided, with both a traditional coffee pot and Keurig and French press coffee makers in both spaces. ENTERTAINMENT & LIVING AREAS Communal space is provided in an open plan configuration comprising the kitchen and living room in each house. Now these spaces are transformed into a playground for groups of friends or families. Also, not if they disturb the neighbors or make a lot of noise. Please contact us for more details, comments, questions or concerns. You will have the entire house and property to yourself. Access to the casita is only for groups 4 in order to keep cleaning costs low for everyone. Only registered guests are allowed, unless agreed upon during booking process. There is a lot of room for parking, an RV and the entire property is 100% fenced and gated for your privacy and security. While we encourage taking walks on the property and in the National Park, please do not wander into our neighbor’s backyards in the surrounding area as you will be trespassing on private property. We have some property beautifying happening, so please bare with us on any and all small imperfections! Thank you !!! Many roads in the high desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive is not. EVENTS & COMMERICAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.
