POOL & SPA SERVICE - The hot tub and pool is serviced every Monday and Thursday by our maintenance pool guy who will access the backyard and be in and out quickly. Usually guests don’t even notice him, but just a heads up in case you see him servicing the spa and pool area. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! The main unit of the house has a master bedroom with an attached bathroom. There are three additional guest bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a nice meal or enjoy a cup of coffee with a Keurig! You can cozy up in the living room by siting by the fire and enjoying a movie or playing games and making memories with your loved ones. The detached ADU has a Murphy bed, full bathroom with a shower, a shuffle board and foosball table, and is the perfect place to practice yoga. THE SPACE: Bedrooms: - Master Bedroom: The master bedroom is on the far right side of the home, off the dining area, tucked away for privacy. The bedroom has minimalist design features, built in headboards, and splashes of color. - Bunk Bedroom: The bunk bedroom is the perfect kids room with splashes of color, a low tier bunk bed, and fun design elements! This room shares a bathroom with our other king bedroom. - King Bedroom: The king bedroom is locked all the way to the left of the home, also to the left of the front door. This room shares a bathroom with the bunk bedroom. Bathrooms: - Our 2 bedroom bathrooms are standing showers, with smaller design elements. We provide luxury high end towels and shampoo, conditioners etc for your stay! - We have a common area half bathroom off of the dining room for easy bathroom access after the pool, or to wash up before dinner! Living Areas: - We have a very open concept home, with concrete stability and earth quake proof level of security. The dining room sliders open up with distraction free views directly through the sliders to the pool. We have a tv in the living room , viewable from the dining room, and kitchen! Please note that because the hot tub is an in-ground hot tub, it is not heated constantly in order to conserve energy. It typically takes approximately 30 minutes to heat to 104 degrees from ambient temperature. -Pool & Hot Tub Service- The pool and hot tub are serviced every Monday and Thursday, generally between 9am and 4pm. Service times may vary slightly depending on the technician’s schedule. The technician will access only the backyard service areas and will not enter the home. Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after service, as chemical levels may be temporarily elevated. -Pet Policy- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog, per stay fee with a maximum of 2 dogs allowed. Please note your dogs on the reservation and we will adjust pricing accordingly. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. Renters and their daytime guests should park in the garage or driveway. There is NO on-street parking available. To avoid ticketing or towing, please ensure all cars are not extending into or blocking the sidewalk. - PETS - Pets are permitted with the receipt of a pet fee. The fee is $150 per pet, up to 3 pets. Please inquire about Service Animals and next steps to waive the fees. - EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT - Stay a little longer and add up to 2 hours before or after your arrival for $75/hour. Half days (11am arrival or 4pm departure) are also available for 50% of the nightly rate for the night needing to be blocked to accommodate. - DELIVERIES - We are unable to accept packages at the homes. Please plan accordingly and utilize holding packages at the local post office or nearby Amazon Lockers. - EVENTS / RETREATS - APPROVAL REQUIRED PRIOR TO BOOKING. Additionally, an event fee starting at $1,000 will apply, with the final cost determined by the specific scope and coverage of the occasion. - PHOTO/VIDEO & COMMERCIAL USE - APPROVAL REQUIRED PRIOR TO BOOKING. Guests are welcome and encouraged to take photos for personal use (and feel free to tag us @stayfieldtrip). Drones are not permitted due to county restrictions. While we welcome professional media projects, all commercial, professional, promotional, or revenue-generating photography and videography are subject to production fees. Additionally, any filming on the property is permitted only upon receiving formal approval from the County of San Bernardino. For these activities, we require payment in advance along with a signed production agreement, production insurance, and a location release. IF THERE IS ANY DOUBT IF YOUR SHOOT IS COMMERCIAL, PLEASE INQUIRE FIRST. Any guests found to be doing a commercial shoot will have their reservation canceled. Bedroom 1 has a king bed with attached bath, bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a desk area, bedroom 3 has two twin beds. The third room also has a fun chalkboard wall for you kids creative minds! The yard is NOT fully fenced. • A/C AND HEAT The house has central AC and heat so you can be comfortable all year around. • KITCHEN Do not cut directly on the counter tops. The fridge is a mini fridge, for stays over 2 night we will give access to the garage with an additional full fridge. • KIDS ROOM WITH BUNKED AND TRUNDLE Please be mindful of your children sleeping on the top bunk. There are 3 single beds in this room; 2 bunk beds and 1 bed that pulls out from under the bunk bed • FIRE Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no open flames fire policy BUT the propane fire pit located outside if allowed. If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire (propane excluded when used IN the propane fire pit and propane grill provided) means your rental agreement will be terminated and there is a $200 fine. • FRIDGE There is a full size fridge available in the garage and a mini fridge in the kitchen • WASHER/DRYER House has a washer and dryer available to guests that are staying with us for an extended period of 3 or more days. If you are traveling with an infant or young children please let us know and we will give you access to the laundry room. • GUESTS You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests. • IDENTITY VERIFICATION You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash- encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used. If you’d like the pool heated for multiple days, we ask that days be consecutive to conserve energy, thank you! Pool heating is not usually necessary May through September. Please note that we will need at least 24 hours’ notice to heat the pool. ► $250 per night During the winter months, please be aware that colder outdoor temperatures may cause the pool to feel cooler than its maintained temperature of 85°F. We kindly ask that you ensure this temperature meets your comfort level before submitting a request, as refunds cannot be issued on this basis. -Hot Tub Heating- Please note that because the hot tub is an in-ground hot tub, it is not heated constantly in order to conserve energy. It will take around 30 minutes to heat to 104 degrees from ambient temperature. -Pool and Hot Tub Service- The pool and hot tub are serviced Mondays and Thursdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Zebra Shadow is a rental house nestled on private 3.5-acre property, a short drive from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. Zebra Shadow is quite isolated, located on a winding road that leads directly to the center of downtown Joshua Tree. Zebra Shadow can accommodate up to 4 people comfortably. The house consists of a living room, an open fully equipped kitchen, a large dining table, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms with a rain shower. The house also has an outdoor area with a patio with a dining table, grill, propane fireplace. Zebra Shadow is a modern house with a white beam pergola that lets in the rays of the sun, from which the house takes its name. The house is very beautiful to look at from the outside as well as from the inside. The minimalist-style interiors are carefully decorated with contemporary furnishings and accessories. The house has many openings allowing natural light to enter and immerse yourself in the surrounding landscape with breathtaking views. The house is equipped with all new appliances, a washer and dryer, air conditioning and heating, a bluetooth speaker, and high speed wifi. The house is ideally located, to feel private while having quick access to the city center, restaurants, gas stations, shops and many other offers nearby. BEDROOM BREAKDOWN #1 - Queen #2 - Queen You’ll need a car, but there are Ubers and Lucky 777 Cab in town. ► Cold Plunge: The cold plunge tub is drained and cleaned and left empty before every guest - you can fill it up using a hose nearby. Please note that we do not provide ice for the cold plunge. If you’d like to utilize the cold plunge during your stay, we recommend picking up a few bags (about 50 lbs.) at a local grocery store. ◦ THINGS TO NOTE: Paved Roads/Dirt Roads: No dirt roads but dirt driveway. Fenced yard: Not fully fenced Outdoor Surveillance: There’s 1 outdoor camera facing driveway Cell phone coverage: Yes cellphone coverage ◦ Wildlife: this is the rural desert and we share the space with the wildlife. You may encounter desert ants, mice, coyotes, or if you’re lucky a bobcat. ◦ RULES: Noise ordinance: Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. No external speakers allowed. Any noise related discrepancies will result in at least a $1000 fine. ◦ SMOKING POLICY No smoking inside the house or within 10ft. Smoke residue will result in excessive cleaning fees ◦ Restricted Areas: Any locked closet or room is restricted. If forcibly entered you could be held liable for any unaccounted for item. ◦ Hot Tub/Pool: Hot Tub Use: Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it’s been serviced, as chemical levels are temporarily elevated. We have weekly pool cleanings, this day may fall on your stay and your cooperation will keep the hot tub clean and balanced at all times. Please rinse off any oils, lotions, or substances before entering the spa, as these can affect water quality and cause discoloration. No drinking in the hot tub, please. Be sure to keep the cover on when not in use, especially since we’re in the desert and debris can easily get into the water. Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance. -Cowboy Tub Availability- The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during winter months (November - March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking. ◦ Photoshoots & Video: No un permitted photoshoots or videoing at the home. Please note that The Mark is in a remote location, and the last 0.4 miles to the home is a dirt road, so please take it slow. The dirt road is maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road condition varies and may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms. -Hot Tub Service- The pool and hot tub are serviced Thursdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician’s busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard. -Dogs- We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants.
