$705 night

The Sandy Star ~ Stylish Riverfront Getaway, Dog Friendly, Neighborhood Beach, Hot Tub. A wonderful riverfront property with a short walk to the beach - The Sandy Star started life as a traditional Russian River home with wood paneling and floors throughout. Under new ownership, and a complete remodel, the house is bright and light with ample charm and character. Hand painted murals grace 3 bedrooms and modern conveniences and cheery artwork liven up the kitchen, bathrooms and living spaces. And outside is as delightful as inside at this riverfront escape! The beautifully remodeled and bright kitchen faces the living room and sometimes dining space. A long counter seats 6 guests in bright orange tall chairs, all the better to laugh and joke with the "kitchen staff" and enjoy each other’s company. Stainless steel appliances - fridge, stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker - and oodles of counter space make cooking a pleasure at The Sandy Star. And there’s ample storage space for your sundries. Sip a cup of coffee or tea in the kitchen’s seating nook while supervising breakfast preparation. Or linger in the living room with a glass of wine. From the sectional sofa, leather chair and rocking chair you can snug in front of the electric fireplace or turn and watch a movie on the flat-screen TV. Behind the sofa, the console converts into a dining table to seat 6 comfortably or 8 tightly. If the weather is nice, though, you’ll want to eat outside! The crowning glory of the living room is the full wall of windows that fold open to the deck! With two outdoor heaters, large picnic table with umbrella, propane BBQ and stunning views of the river - everyone will want to hang out on the upper deck! The newly built decks hover in the redwoods for a mix of shade and sunshine. Mosey down the stairs to the lower patio and deck to the 6 person hot tub (which is available 7 am to 10 pm, only) and outdoor shower. Up a short flight of stairs from the living room, each of the three bedrooms has a queen bed and unique murals painted by a local (Bay Area) artist. Two bedrooms face the river and overlook the back decks and hot tub area while one bedroom faces the street of this quiet residential neighborhood. There’s a full bathroom with double sink/vanity, cheery colored walls and subway tile shower with rain shower head. Off the hallway the washer and dryer are tucked into a closet. The fourth bedroom is the kid’s room - on the main level, just off the kitchen with a double/twin bunk bed with and views to the river. There are games and toys in the drawers and a door to the huge back deck. A second full bathroom with tiled shower and rain shower head is next to the kid’s room and kitchen. A short mosey down a path leads to a fantastic neighborhood beach. You can cut through the backyard or walk around the house to the public easement which serves as a wide path to the river. A double kayak and canoe are locked in the lower backyard for guests to use between mid-June and the end of September, conditions permitting. Stop to pick blackberries in the summer but look out for poison oak. This beach is accessible nearly year-round.

Antler River Lodge - Guerneville Dog-Friendly Riverfront Lodge with Hot Tub

Guerneville, CA, US
3 Bedrooms 10 Guests
Aug 26 - 28
$785 night

Sunlight filters through towering redwoods onto the private hot tub where you’ll soak after floating the Russian River. This 1930s log lodge sleeps 10 with room for your dogs to roam the enclosed yard. Step through the 11-foot picture window view to your private river beach — one of the best fishing holes in Guerneville. Just 0.2 miles from The Lodge at Dawn Ranch and 0.3 miles from downtown’s taco trucks and cafes. Spend mornings on the deck as mist lifts off the Russian River, afternoons floating the river or visiting Korbel and Joseph Jewell tasting rooms, and evenings around the firepit with the day’s bottles. The vast great room rises beneath antler chandeliers, a stone fireplace anchoring leather Chesterfields and a Chesterfield sofa. An 11-foot picture window holds the river so persistently it might as well be a wall; a second seating area in soft blue-green tones spreads across Oriental rugs, and a small office loft above is set up for a stretch of remote work. The kitchen anchors with cherry cabinets, a gas range, and serious gear — KitchenAid mixer, commercial waffle iron, holiday-ready cookware — and the formal dining room sets six beneath a crystal chandelier. OUTDOOR LIVING The covered patio is an outdoor room unto itself — exposed beam ceiling, brick fireplace, and ornate driftwood furniture set the scene. A vine-draped pergola shelters a picnic table for al fresco meals. The large meadow backyard leads directly to eight acres of private beach shared with just a few neighbors, featuring the best fishing hole in town. Soak in the private hot tub, fire up the BBQ, or claim a sunny spot in the spacious side yard. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Three bedrooms and a loft sleep up to ten guests. The first bedroom overlooks the river with a king bed in red and black plaid bedding with leopard print accents. The second riverfront bedroom features a king bed surrounded by log walls. The third bedroom holds two queen beds beneath an antler chandelier with colorful patterned bedding. Up in the loft, two twin beds offer a tucked-away retreat. PROPERTY AMENITIES -- Private hot tub -- Full kitchen with high-end appliances and gas range -- Washer and dryer -- Outdoor brick fireplace -- Enclosed yard -- Dog-friendly (1 dog up to 50 lbs.) -- Parking for 3 vehicles Soak in the private hot tub as redwoods rise around the log lodge, then warm by the stone fireplace under antler chandeliers and exposed beams. You’ve got the whole home, dogs welcome, with a BBQ, outdoor dining, an enclosed yard, and river views through the trees. Grab the key from the lockbox; up to three cars fit, two in the driveway plus on-street out front. Guerneville is about 90 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and River Road — a scenic drive through vineyards and into the redwoods. You’ll have parking for up to three vehicles: two in the driveway plus street parking in front of the home. A car makes the Russian River Valley easy to explore, from redwood trails to riverside wineries. Cell service gets patchy in the redwoods, so downloading offline maps before you arrive is worth it. • This home stays naturally cool thanks to river breezes and redwood shade — like most historic Russian River cabins, it doesn’t have air conditioning. • Exterior security cameras cover the property perimeter. • Please note the decorative fireplace is not operational. • Your dog will love the enclosed yard and meadow — just remember to keep them on the furniture-free floor and always clean up after them. • The eight-acre private beach is a rare amenity shared with just a few neighbors. • It offers some of the best fishing in Guerneville if you’re an angler. • Quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM help preserve the peaceful river atmosphere. • The home’s eclectic mix of antiques and wildlife art reflects its 1930s heritage — each room tells a story of Russian River history. Wanderlust Cottage - Guerneville Dog-Friendly Redwood Cottage with Hot Tub

Guerneville, CA, US
2 Bedrooms 4 Guests
Aug 26 - 28
$207 night

Soak in the redwood-shaded hot tub after a day on the Russian River, less than two miles from downtown Guerneville’s restaurants and Johnson’s Beach. This dog-friendly cottage sleeps 4 across two queen bedrooms, with a wraparound deck, gas grill, and fully remodeled kitchen tucked into the trees. Spend mornings on the deck as light filters through the redwoods, afternoons floating at Johnson’s Beach or tasting at Korbel four miles up the road, and evenings grilling on the deck before a nightcap at Stumptown Brewery across the river. Guerneville River Park and Austin Creek State Recreation Area (seven miles north) round out the day-trip lineup. Sink into the sectional in the open living space, where French doors swing wide to the covered deck and a wall-mounted flatscreen sets up movie nights under wood-paneled ceilings. Streaming-capable TV and high-speed WiFi keep everyone connected, though service can get spotty in bad weather — a fair trade for the redwood quiet. Cook on the stainless range in a fully remodeled kitchen, where turquoise upper cabinets pop above quartz counters and the dishwasher and microwave handle the busywork. Pull up to the four-top alongside for harvest-inspired dinners or a board-game battle with Outburst and Sequence pulled from the shelf. OUTDOOR LIVING Step onto the covered front porch to shake off the drive, then claim the furnished rear deck for alfresco dinners at the glass-top table. Fire up the gas grill, gather at the wooden picnic table on the lower deck, and end the night in the private hot tub set on its own level beneath mature trees. The fully fenced yard gives your dog room to roam. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Two bedrooms sleep 4: - Bedroom 1: Queen bed - Bedroom 2: Queen bed, desk and chair for remote work - Bathroom: Full tub-shower combo PROPERTY AMENITIES - Private hot tub on the deck - Gas grill and furnished outdoor dining - Fully remodeled kitchen with dishwasher and microwave - High-speed WiFi (may be spotty in bad weather) - Private washer/dryer - Dog-friendly with fully fenced yard (1 dog up to 50 lbs.) Drop into the private hot tub tucked among the trees, throw open the French doors, and cook under a knotty-pine ceiling running the main living areas. You’ve got the whole cottage, dogs welcome, with an enclosed yard, a BBQ, and outdoor dining on the deck. Grab the key from the lockbox out front; one passenger vehicle fits on the parking pad (no RVs or heavy trucks), with extra street parking on Drake Road. Guerneville is about 90 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and River Road — a scenic drive through vineyards and into the redwoods. You’ll have two dedicated parking spaces directly in front of the cottage (passenger vehicles and SUVs only please — the structure cannot support RVs or heavy trucks). Additional parking is available at street level off Drake Road. A car makes the Russian River Valley easy to explore, from redwood trails to riverside wineries. Cell service gets patchy in the redwoods, so downloading offline maps before you arrive is worth it. • The high-speed internet (215 mbps) is generally reliable but can be spotty during severe weather — a gentle reminder that you’re in the redwoods! • While the cottage lacks air conditioning, it stays naturally cool thanks to the redwood canopy and elevation — ceiling fans and cross-ventilation through the French doors keep things comfortable even on warm days. • Your dog (max 1, up to 50 lbs) will love the fully enclosed yard, though note that nearby Armstrong Redwoods only allows dogs in parking areas, not on trails. • Bruno Farnocchia Dog Park (0.7 mi) offers a great alternative for off-leash play. • The cottage’s elevated design means climbing stairs to the main entrance — something to consider if mobility is a concern. • The primary renter must be 21 or older. • Take advantage of the multiple deck levels for different experiences throughout the day — morning coffee on the covered porch, lunch on the dining deck, afternoon soaks in the hot tub, and evening grilling on the barbecue deck.
