Forest Heights is a delightfully stylish, slightly boho, sunlit wine country getaway. This wonderfully renovated home gives guests plenty of room to spread out. The cozy covered porch entry leads into an open living and dining floor plan with vaulted ceilings, plenty of natural light, and updated kitchen. Upstairs is the main living area with two bedrooms and a full bathroom, kitchen, and hot tub deck. Downstairs is a separate suite (exterior stairs), with bathroom, bedroom, office space, and outdoor lounge with gas-firepit. The outdoor areas are truly unique, with multiple levels, a forest view deck, loads of amenities, and creative touches everywhere. Relax in the hot tub under the stars or gather around the gas firepit with a glass of wine from one of the nearby wineries. Know Before You Book: Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Forest Heights is 6 people not including kids under 3 years old. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times. Parking: There is parking for a maximum of 2 standard vehicles on the carport. There is no street parking, so please park only on the parking deck. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance. Rural Setting and Critters: We live in a rural area with ants, spiders, rodents, and larger critters from mountain lions to bears. While we make the best effort to protect against them from coming into homes, we also do not use poison where it can harm wildlife, pets, and children. And keeping all critters out is simply not possible. We appreciate your help in putting tasty smelling items into refrigerators, proper disposal of trash, and understanding that ants (especially) come in without warning and may not have been present at the time of cleaning. Stairs: One flight of stairs from carport to front door or one flight of steps from the road to the front door. The house is two levels with exterior stairs between levels. The third bedroom and second bathroom are on the lower level, which acts as its own suite with a laptop-ready workspace. Pet Friendly: This home welcomes up to 2 well-mannered dogs. If you have more than 2 dogs or other types of pets, please contact us to see if exceptions can be made before reserving. Fencing: The upstairs patio is fully fenced when gates are closed. Downstairs yard/patio partially fenced. Road to Forest Heights: The house is located on a narrow residential road. It is a two-way, one-lane hillside road - fully paved and no special vehicle is required. We provide detailed written driving directions to confirmed guests. As kids play in the neighborhood, we advise driving cautiously and not to exceed the speed limit. Security: For the safety of guests and the home, there are security cameras outside - facing the parking and entry areas of the property. Green Valley Retreat is a magnificently remodeled home with high-end taste. It’s a wine county gem in an agricultural community celebrated for the Farm to Table food movement. Charming and renowned restaurants and wineries are minutes away, but you can pick fresh produce from the massive guest garden and (newly planted) orchard. Additional fruit trees are scattered throughout the property. With a large in-line gas BBQ on the back deck, and choice dining in or outside, guests love cooking in as much as going out. The kitchen boasts plentiful counter space, deluxe appliances and quality accessories. The attention to details like original artwork, ample lighting, 60+ inch TV and access to fresh cut flowers from the garden make for an excellent retreat. The main house boasts 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms along with an office/laundry room, and living and dining areas off the large kitchen. Just outside - off the back deck - are an additional full bathroom and an outdoor shower for your trips to the pool and hot tub (built into the pool). The Pool House offers an additional sleeping space with a Queen Murphy bed and sleeper sofa in case your group isn’t all couples - the maximum occupancy is still 6 people total. It’s also a media room - perfect for movie time - and things like a break from the sun and gourmet coffee station. In addition to the gardens and front yard orchard, the backyard contains a meadow of native bunch grasses - not your typical lawn - along with a stand of redwood trees, oodles of flowers, multiple seating areas, and one of our favorite built-in propane fire pits. There is ample space for 8 people around hardwood table in the formal dining room. Vintage wood paneling and custom built-in cabinets are reminiscent of a premium mountain lodge. The first bedroom on the main level is outfitted with a king bed and a 42in TV. The second bedroom offers a queen bed, 42in TV, scenic river views, and an en suite bathroom. The other upstairs bathroom is in the hall between the two bedrooms. The middle level (downstairs from the main level) contains the exceptional master suite. Enjoy the utmost comfort with a king bed, a daybed with a trundle, and beautiful views of the river. The en suite bathroom includes heated floors, dual vanities, a walk-in shower, and private access to the pool. The lowest level has an additional half bathroom and a laundry room. Located off the pool and separate from the home, the private fourth bedroom has a queen bed and half bath. OUTDOORS: Rocktop Lodge is located on the Russian River, with a private dock. The owner is working to replace the tub and it will return to the listing with photos as soon as the replacement is located. The Farmhouse and Pool House are situated on 92 beautiful acres in the Russian River Valley, with views of serene forests and hills. Though private (there is an onsite caretaker family), Black Mountain is in the ideal location for your Sonoma County getaway. The Russian River is just under a mile away, and there are numerous wineries and vineyards within a short drive. The Farmhouse was built in 1932 and retains much of its original character. On the main floor, the modernized kitchen with extensive counter space, breakfast table, bar seating and adjacent enclosed sun room with ping-pong table allows you to gather with friends and family while cooking, eating and playing without breaking up the festivities. The kitchen is well stocked for serious food events and well lit with generous windows and built in lighting. The living room with woodstove and TV (DVD player only), a second dining area and a bedroom with queen bed and a full bathroom round out the downstairs area. A wide deck with built in bench and additional seating stretches the length of the Farm House and wraps around the kitchen to end at an outdoor shower.
