Tucked away in the heart of Bodega Bay’s old village, Taylor Made Cottage is a coastal escape where charm meets modern refinement. This classic gem offers a front-row seat to the bay’s shifting tides and golden-hour glows. With a new kitchen, a gas hearth, and a large wraparound porch, the cottage is a haven for those looking to trade the rush of daily life for the slow rhythm of the coast. Wander to cafés on the waterfront, or find yourself on the sands of nearby beaches in mere minutes. Taylor Made Cottage is a genuine piece of Bodega Bay history, offering a quiet retreat in the heart of the town’s original village. Nearly a century old, this single-story home has been carefully updated to preserve its classic character while adding the modern comforts that make a stay easy. It isn’t a grand or hollow space; instead, it feels settled and snug, designed for those who appreciate the slower pace of the Sonoma Coast. The living room offers a warm, immediate welcome as you step inside. It’s a comfortable space where the gas fireplace becomes the natural center of the home, especially on those misty coastal evenings when you just want to settle in and get cozy. The kitchen has been thoughtfully renovated to make meal prep easy and efficient. It is a practical space perfectly suited for a slow coastal breakfast or a dinner made with fresh fish from the local docks and vibrant veggies from the nearby farm market. The layout is designed to be straightforward and user-friendly, flowing directly into the dining area so the cook is always part of the conversation. A small coffee and game area is tucked away nearby, keeping your morning essentials and evening entertainment within easy reach. For rest, the primary bedroom is designed as a true sanctuary, anchored by a king bed and a quiet corner workstation for those who need to check in with the world before heading to the beach. This room is a self-contained escape with its own ensuite bathroom, which holds much of the cottage’s original charm. It features a classic clawfoot tub for soaking, a pedestal sink, and a unique porthole window that shines light through the house’s historic frame. The second bedroom is located just off the dining area and is equally comfortable with a queen bed, making it a peaceful spot for guests. Nearby, the main bathroom serves double duty as a laundry room, offering the practical convenience of a washer and dryer in a bright, clean space. The outdoor areas are perhaps the most used "rooms" of the house. The wraparound porch is the perfect vantage point for watching the village wake up with a cup of coffee, or catching the sunset over the water at the end of the day. Around the back, a separate deck offers a bit more privacy with outdoor couches and a BBQ, providing a sheltered spot to grill and relax among the succulents. Whether you are sitting on the front porch looking at the bay or walking the short distance to the local shops and cafes, We’d love to host you at Taylor Made Cottage. Guests enjoy exclusive access to the entire cottage and its private outdoor spaces. Whaleship Harbor View - Bodega Bay Harbor Views from Three Levels

Bodega Bay, CA, US
3 Bedrooms 8 Guests
Sep 20 - 22
$706 night

Wake to harbor seals splashing in Bodega Harbor from this three-level retreat perched above the water. Curl up by either fireplace with fresh crab from Spud Point (0.4 mi) while whales migrate past your windows. Room for 8 with privacy across three floors. Just steps from South Salmon Creek Beach (0.4 mi) and the famous Birds filming locations. The wraparound deck becomes your front-row seat to Sonoma Coast sunsets — where the only soundtrack is harbor bells and sea birds. Spend mornings watching fishing boats motor out as the harbor wakes, afternoons walking Doran Beach or hunting tide pools at Pinnacle Gulch, and evenings on the deck with fresh crab and a glass of cool-climate Pinot. A white sectional faces the wood-burning stove on its raised stone hearth, picture windows pulling the harbor into every seat. Granite counters and stainless appliances line the back wall as a galley, with a six-seat dining table by the windows so meals stay anchored to the water view. The lower level is its own self-contained suite — bedroom, full bath, den with a second gas fireplace, and a games-and-work table — built for older kids or a remote-working partner who wants their own corner. OUTDOOR LIVING The wraparound deck becomes your outdoor room, composite decking and white railings framing the harbor panorama. Woven furniture includes a dining table for al fresco meals and lounge chairs for afternoon reading. A gas grill stands ready for fresh catch. Views stretch across the water to distant hills. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The entire third floor serves as a loft primary bedroom with a king bed and sitting area overlooking the water. On the main floor, one bedroom has a queen and another has two twins. The lower-level suite adds a queen with its own full bath. Sleeps 8. PROPERTY AMENITIES -- Full kitchen with stainless steel appliances -- Washer and dryer -- Two 55-inch TVs with Roku streaming -- Gas grill -- Wraparound deck with outdoor dining -- Parking for 4 Settle in beneath the soaring A-frame ceilings as the harbor opens out through the window wall — bay views from the kitchen, the dining table, and the deck. The whole home is yours, with a wood-burning fireplace, a gas fireplace, and outdoor dining set up under the vaulted beams. Your check-in details land before you arrive, and the driveway out front holds up to four cars. Bodega Bay is about 90 minutes from San Francisco — a beautiful drive up 101 and out Highway 1 through farmland and coastal ranches. Your driveway fits four vehicles comfortably. A car makes exploring the Sonoma Coast effortless — it unfolds for miles in either direction. Cell service is light along the coast, so downloading offline maps before you arrive is a good idea. The home features security cameras at the front driveway for everyone’s safety and comfort. Four staircases connect the three levels — something to consider with young children. While there’s only partial air conditioning upstairs, the coastal breezes and morning fog keep the home naturally cool year-round. You’ll have two fireplaces to choose from on chilly evenings — the wood-burning stove in the living room or the gas fireplace in the lower-level den. For streaming services, you’ll need to log in with your own accounts on the Roku TVs. The dramatic A-frame architecture means sloped ceilings in the loft bedroom — cozy but worth noting for taller guests. The wraparound deck offers the best sunset views in Bodega Bay — don’t miss the golden hour when the harbor lights up. Bring layers even in summer; coastal fog rolls in most mornings and evenings can be chilly. License number: LIC25-0397

The Russian River is your front yard, and Pacific Ocean is just around the bend. So, bring your kayak or rent one, pack a picnic, and walk the oceans’ edge, hike a trail or two, and view life a little differently. Located in view of "Penny Island" – a bird and wildlife sanctuary - in the Russian River Estuary in Jenner by the Sea on the California coast, guests praise the views, quick walk to fabulous food, and access to miles of trails and beaches to explore. Know Before You Book: Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Erinleigh by the Sea is 2 people not including kids under 3 years old. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times. A Note About Our Cleaning Fees: Thank you for supporting our local business! When you stay with us, you support local families at work. We think everyone deserves a decent living wage, and we make sure to set the rates and fees so that our cleaners earn a living wage in beautiful Sonoma County. Parking: There is parking for a maximum of 2 vehicles along the fence and in front of the garage. The garage is not available for parking. RVs, trailers, and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance. Bed Sizes: Bedroom: Queen bed. Heating: There is a propane “woodstove” which heats the whole cabin plus a smaller bathroom heater. Cooling: The house does not have air conditioning. Being at the coast, the nighttime temps drop and just opening some windows is usually enough to cool the house. There is a ceiling fan. Kitchen: Erinleigh by the Sea does not have a dishwasher or garbage disposal as it’s on a septic system. The kitchen is fully stocked (minus groceries) for your stay. Bathrooms: The bathroom includes a shower over a classic cast iron bathtub. Washer/Dryer: This home does not provide a washer/dryer. Location: Properties along Hwy 1 are a mix of permanent residents and vacation rentals, families, working folks, hotels, resorts, restaurants, and shops. To honor this balance, we ask guests to park only in the spaces described above and respect the quiet hours in addition to general family-friendly, residential neighborhood expectations. Your actions along the estuary greatly impact our environment. Thank you for helping to continue the tradition of a mutually beneficial relationship between vacation rentals, local community, and nature! Road and Other Noise: Erinleigh by the Sea is located directly next to and below the Hwy 1. Traffic is busiest on fair weather weekends and tends to quiet in the evenings. Not as much of the traffic noise carries to the house as it is situated below the road and there are new windows, but sound carries across the water, and you’ll hear life music from Café Aquatica and folks paddling the estuary during the day. Wildlife and waves can be noisy too! Road to Erinleigh by the Sea: No matter how you get here, the last part of your journey is along Hwy 1 which is twisty and turny in sections. With drivers in a hurry and taking their time. Please be cautious when pulling onto and off the road. Rural Setting and Critters: We live in a rural area with ants, spiders, rodents, and larger critters from raccoons and mountain lions to bears. While we make the best effort to protect against them from coming into homes, we also do not use poison where it can harm wildlife, pets, and children. And keeping all critters out is simply not possible. We appreciate your help in putting tasty smelling items into refrigerators, proper disposal of trash, and understanding that ants (especially) come in without warning and may not have been present at the time of cleaning. Cell Phones: Please be aware that many cell phones will not have service at this location. There is wifi. Stairs: While the living areas in the house are all one level, there is a flight of stairs from the parking area to the front door. Please look at the photos if stairs are a concern. Pet Policy: No Pets. Service animals are always accommodated under the ADA. Fencing: The area between the house and Hwy 1 is fenced with a locking gate. The rest of the property is not fenced. A Note About TVs: The Smart TV has Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and hundreds of streaming channels. Guests are welcome to bring their login info for these apps. The television does not have cable services. River Access: While perched above the river, there is not direct access to the water from the house. The Jenner Boat Launch is 0.2 miles from the house and the perfect (safe) location to launch your kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard. Conditions vary from year to year and can change rapidly – use your best judgement to determine your risk level and comfort in the water/physical activity. Sonoma County TOT Number: 3110

Cozy Riverfront Cabin with Dock, Fire Pit & Dogs OK

Monte Rio, CA, US
2 Bedrooms 5 Guests
Sep 21 - 23
$276 night

Unwind at The River’s Edge, a 2-bedroom, 1-bath riverside cabin surrounded by nature. Relax on the deck with river views, enjoy the fire pit, or step onto the private dock (May–Sept) that puts you right on top of the river—an ideal launchpad for the kayak, canoe, and paddleboard. Perfect for a peaceful getaway, this cozy cabin is just minutes from Guerneville, Duncans Mills, local wineries, and the Pacific Coast. Escape to River’s Edge, a secluded riverfront sanctuary where the forest meets the water. Tucked away in the Russian River Valley, this retreat offers the perfect mix of classic cabin charm and modern luxury. Whether you’re here to soak in the hot tub under the redwoods, craft pizzas in the outdoor oven, or simply unplug by the fire, this is your private basecamp for relaxation and connection. As you step inside, you’ll find a home that balances the historic feel of a lodge with the freshness of a modern remodel. The living room is defined by character—planked walls, heavy ceiling beams, and a classic brick fireplace—but it feels playful rather than dark. We’ve curated a "rustic whimsy" aesthetic, filled with interesting art and unique findings that spark conversation and make the space feel personal. The heart of the home is the sun-drenched kitchen. Skylights flood the room with natural light, illuminating the clean white cabinetry and the central island (a perfect spot to perch with a glass of wine). The dining area is wrapped in glass, offering uninterrupted views of the forest canopy. Mornings here are the best part of the day—brew a fresh cup (Keurig and drip provided) and watch the mist rise off the water through the windows. We believe vacation is about actually resting. The two bedrooms are painted a soft, cheerful yellow to catch the natural light. They are simple, uncluttered, and designed for comfort, featuring queen-sized beds with proper bedside tables and reading lamps. There is plenty of room to unpack, settle in, and leave your suitcase in the corner. The bathroom features cool tile floors, a shower, and an extra-long mirror that makes getting ready easy for two people. We provide plenty of freshly laundered towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap, along with a kit of emergency essentials so you have everything you need the moment you arrive. The outdoor living space is designed for making memories. We’ve turned the deck into a theater for river life, where the architecture literally makes space for nature. The expansive deck was custom-built to accommodate the redwoods, "kissing" the bark and allowing the trees to burst right through the floorboards. You can step out of the hot tub and be within arm’s length of a tree that has stood here for generations. Fire up the brick pizza oven and BBQ for an al fresco dinner, or settle into the outdoor chairs around the fire pit, surrounded by landscaped ferns and native grasses. From the hot tub, you are perched up above the river with a view of the water below. It’s the perfect vantage point to watch summer floaters drifting by in the distance, or simply listen to the wind in the trees. During the warmer months (Memorial Day weekend through Columbus / Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend), guests can enjoy access to the seasonal dock and kayaks. Whether you are planning a quiet couples’ retreat, a family getaway, or a reunion with friends, we invite you to River’s Edge. We would love to host you and help you create your next great memory. Guests have full access to the cabin, deck, yard, and riverfront. Watercraft, including a kayak, canoe, and paddleboard, are available for guest use. Outdoor amenities such as the fire pit, BBQ, and pizza oven are all yours to enjoy. Please keep in mind most of these outdoor amenities are only available seasonally (Memorial Day weekend through Columbus / Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend). Please inquire for specific questions. While you’ll feel miles away from civilization, the cabin is perfectly situated in the heart of the Russian River Valley. A car is highly recommended, and the drive along River Road and the Bohemian Highway is scenic and part of the adventure. Free parking for up to 4 vehicles is available on-site. The cabin provides direct river access for swimming or kayaking, while nearby attractions, scenic drives, beaches, and wineries are all easily reachable by car. • 0.5-mile walk to the river access • 2-minute drive to Northwood Golf Club. This is a rare chance to play a course designed by Dr. Alister MacKenzie (the architect of Augusta National) set entirely within a Redwood forest. • 10-minute drive to downtown Monte Rio • 10-mile (20-minute) drive to the west takes you to the Pacific Ocean where the river meets the sea at Jenner. • 5–15-minute drive to multiple local Pinot Noir wineries • 15-minute drive to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve • 20-minute drive to Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS) Seasonal River Access: The dock and stairs are seasonal and may be removed from October through May depending on river conditions. However, the views remain year-round. Amenities: Wood-burning stove, outdoor gas grill, pizza oven, hot tub, and fire pit are available for use (firewood is not provided and can be purchased at many of the local stores and gas stations). Watercraft: 1 kayak, 1 canoe, and 1 paddle board are provided (seasonal availability depends on river flow/dock installation). Dog Policy: 2 dogs max without host approval. No aggressive breeds or other types of pets allowed. Please keep dogs off all furniture and beds. Dogs must never be left unattended on the property. Always clean up after your pet, both inside and out. No excessive barking. Keep dogs on leash when outside the private yard. The Vines

Sebastopol, CA, US
3 Bedrooms 6 Guests
Dec 31 - Jan 3
$745 night

Now is the perfect moment to explore the enchanting town of Sebastopol, where the exuberant charm of an old-fashioned farming town beckons. Originally renowned as the Gravenstein capital of the world due to Russian trappers planting Gravenstein apples in the 1800s, Sebastopol has evolved, with apples giving way to Burgundy varietals since the late ’60s. Recognized as a "new theater for wine grapes" since the mid-’90s, it hosts home ranches for some of the most notable wineries, emphasizing blends and vineyard-designated wines (S.F Chronicle, 8.29.2008). The house, with hardwood floors throughout, boasts a modern kitchen with gourmet cookware, two full baths, and granite countertops. The master bedroom features a king bed with a full bath en suite, and the two guest rooms offer queen beds. Amenities include Wi-Fi, a 49" LG HDTV with a soundbar, Direct TV satellite service with Netflix, and a deck with a hot tub for stargazing. The house also stands at the gateway to the Russian River and Sonoma Coast wine regions in Sonoma County, CA. Merely 25 miles north lies the picturesque town of Healdsburg, known for its world-class shopping, ambiance, and restaurants. Access to the property is through a coded gate, leading up a long driveway surrounded by 100 acres of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris vineyards. Being part of a working ranch, occasional farming activity may be observed. While close to vibrant towns and farmer’s markets, the property offers tranquility away from city lights and noise, providing each visitor with a peaceful spot in their private country home where they can acclimate to the sounds of silence at night. Sebastopol and the surrounding area abound in artisan farms with organic, biodynamic, and sustainably farmed products. Award-winning wineries are easily accessible through a scenic drive, leading visitors through the Sonoma Coast, Russian River, Dry Creek Valley, and Alexander Valley. Country markets in Sebastopol, Healdsburg, Occidental, and Santa Rosa showcase the variety of micro producers prominent in the area. The house provides a retreat in an environment of innovative yet accessible foods, world-class winemaking, first-class restaurants, and outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, or strolling and the Graton Casino is less than 20 minutes away.. Explore our Property Manager site for information on personal chefs, caterers, massages, yoga instructors, personal trainers, and details about local restaurants and wineries. All vacation rentals are well-stocked with essential cookware, dinnerware, and consumables. Additional fees apply to heat pools from October through April. All houses are non-smoking indoors. While the property is an ideal gathering spot for family and friends, it strictly adheres to county regulations. Outdoor amplified music is prohibited, and surveillance cameras and decimal meters monitor parking areas and noise levels. County quiet hours, between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM, must be observed.
