Accommodating up to 8 people in four bedrooms, the property is accessed from street level off Low Petergate, with an entrance hall and utility storage at ground level - perfect for bikes and push chairs.  An interesting Escher-like staircase layout takes you up to the first floor with spacious living room and a separate large dining room for formal dining.  There is a separate kitchen which also has a small seating area. You will have access to the whole property - step through the front door on Micklegate, and step back in time, with a stone flagged hallway that leads to the back yard, with the apartment door providing access to the 1st floor - explore and enjoy Micklegate is within the York city walls, and is the original main access to this city. The street is a lively street with a number of popular bars and excellent restaurants, and a great place to start your visit to York. Only 5 minutes walk from the train station, and with a long term carpark a few minutes walk away. This is a very old timber property, with uneven stairs and floors, and low ceilings and doorways - please be careful when walking around the house and mind your head when climbing the stairs. Micklegate is a busy vibrant street filled with bars and restaurants all situated inside the city walls.

Our on-site team will be on hand to support your check in and ensure you have everything you need for your stay. Please note that there is one parking space to the side of each lodge, this is to be used by one vehicle only. All other vehicles can drive to the lodge to drop-off luggage but must park their car in the main car park for the duration of their stay. There is strictly no parking on the grass at any times. Quiet times are between the hours of 10pm and 7am and we politely ask that you respect your neighbours when using the outdoor facilities during these hours to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time when staying with us. All guests can make use of the additional facilities at the Lodge Park. These include JJ’s Bar & Grill, a Take-away Pizza Shack, 9 Hole Golf Course, Driving Range and Children’s Play Park Located in a peaceful rural setting yet close to York, Allerthorpe Golf & Country Park is easy to reach and perfectly situated for exploring Yorkshire.
