This villa has a specific allowance for electricity usage which covers normal use per day. If guests run all zones of AC 24/7, it has happened that guests may exceed the allowance and there is a surcharge for overusage based on actual bills or meter readings upon entry and exit. Excess electricity usage may be deducted from the Security deposit that is on hold with Airbnb. To avoid that please be mindful and turn off the AC units when you are not in the room. From Azurea, you are a 2-minute walk away from the sand and within walking distance to some of the best dining options Puerto Rico has to offer. Forget the rental car because from here, you can walk or Uber to everything! The house is approx. 10 minutes from the airport, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, and shops all within walking distance. There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites: Chill at the beach! It is one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you are staying at Azurea. The house has beach chairs, towels, and a cooler for a long day at the beach. Lunch or dinner at La Placita de Santurce a local market with 20+ restaurants and awesome nightlife. We love Santaella restaurant which offers local cuisine with a modern approach and is in La Placita. Explore Calle Loiza, which is blocks from the apartment. This up and coming hip street is littered with funky dining and shopping options. Start off with a margarita at Acapulco and head down the strip stopping at Sabrina or Azucena for sophisticated Puerto Rican food. Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 40-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship. We can help coordinate tours to this destination. Spend a day in Old San Juan. Azurea is a 10 min Uber ride from the oldest city in all the US. There is a lot of history to be seen and great food, drinks, and shopping to enjoy! STARTER AMENITIES At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay. All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 pool/beach towel per guest. We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include: - 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom) - 3 garbage bags - 1 roll of paper towels - 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom) - 1 dish soap - 1 dish sponge Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay. HOUSE RULES RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed. NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated. NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property. QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors. UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 12 adults/children at all times, including visitors. OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. This is a bright two-bedroom, three-bathroom, ocean view apartment. It has great, comfortable furnishings, a fully stocked kitchen, an ocean view balcony, in-unit washer and dryer, and an elevator. There is a common pool which is beachfront. This complex is located on a great quiet where it’s not unusual to see wild horses, and in a quiet area of Rio Grande, not far from the El Yunque Rainforest and the SJU airport. The property is quiet and fairly secluded despite its convenient location. You even have to watch out for potential cows on the road at night! It’s the perfect place to start your day whether heading to attractions on the east side or metro area. Just a short drive from popular attractions to the east, like El Yunque rain forest National Park, Luquillo Beach and the neighboring food kiosks, Fajardo bioluminescent bay, boat/catamaran tours to the Fajardo keys for snorkeling or beach time; or head west to visit El Morro Fort, the Bacardi Rum factory, or Old San Juan for a stroll down the many pedestrian streets lined with shops and restaurants; Casa Cortés is a special treat.  Closer to the property are dozens of eateries and supermarkets, as well as an Outlet Mall with the Sector Sixty6 entertainment complex on site, featuring bowling, an arcade, go-cart racing, and a ropes course. If you are looking to relax, enjoy quiet surroundings, and still have all the fun and action Rincón has to offer a short drive away, then this is the place for you! IMPORTANT NOTE #1: This villa is not located at The Horned Dorset Hotel (which is closed). It is located at the Villas at Horned Dorset, directly beside the hotel. The common areas and pool of the Villas are in pristine condition. Once you get off the main road, you will encounter narrow countryside roads for approx 3-5 minutes until you get to the property. IMPORTANT NOTE #2: The complex offers a full-size generator & water tank in case of an interruption in electrical or water service. IMPORTANT NOTE #3 - PLUNGE POOL MAINTENANCE: The pool man has to access the outdoor patio every Thursday during the morning to clean the plunge pool. No exceptions. The terrace has a private plunge pool overlooking a tropical garden with a 2-person dining table, great for having breakfast, lunch, or a romantic dinner. There are two lounge chairs for sunbathing in privacy. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The master suite is located on the second level of the villa. Upstairs, the views get even better. The villa offers a four-poster mahogany king-size bed, Amalfi ceramics, hand-carved furniture, and a separate sitting area. The grand suite has a luxurious bathroom covered from floor to ceiling with Carrara marble and features a beautiful oversized freestanding white porcelain bathtub, a shower, and His & Hers sinks. PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability. KITCHENETTE The kitchenette is located on the 1st level of the villa. It offers a small refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, a single burner portable stovetop, coffee maker, a blender, and basic pots and pans for simple cooking. GETTING AROUND & PARKING We strongly recommend renting a car, as there are a multitude of activities within a 15-30-minute drive that you will not want to miss out on. Also, Uber is not readily available in the area, which is why it’s important to have your own means of transportation. The villa includes one (1) unassigned parking spot. LOCATION There are many things to do in Rincón, Puerto Rico. This part of the island is best known as "The town of beautiful sunsets." The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed. NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated. NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property. QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors. UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. LIVING AREA You will love the way the living area seamlessly integrates the beautiful garden and ocean views. There is a 2-person dining table, central AC & TV (inside the antique armoire). The room is elegantly furnished for sophisticated relaxation by the Caribbean Sea. The living and dining room opens to the terrace via two gorgeous wooden doors. The terrace has a private plunge pool overlooking a tropical garden with a 4 person dining table, great for having breakfast, lunch, or a romantic dinner. There are 2 lounge chairs for sunbathing in privacy. The living area features a full bathroom with shower.   SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The master suite is located on the second level of the villa. Upstairs, the ocean views get even better. The villa offers a four-poster mahogany king-size bed, Amalfi ceramics, hand-carved furniture, and a separate sitting area. The grand suite has a luxurious bathroom covered from floor to ceiling with white Carrara marble and features a beautiful oversized freestanding white porcelain bathtub, a shower and His & Hers sinks.  PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability. KITCHENETTE The kitchenette is located on the 1st level of the villa. It offers a small refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, microwave oven, a single burner portable stovetop, a blender, and basic pots and pans for simple cooking.    GETTING AROUND & PARKING We strongly recommend renting a car, as there are a multitude of activities within a 15-30-minute drive that you will not want to miss out on. Also, Uber is not readily available in the area, which is why it’s important to have your own means of transportation. The villa includes one (1) unassigned parking spot. LOCATION There are many things to do in Rincón, Puerto Rico. This part of the island is best known as "The town of beautiful sunsets." Staying at Rincón you will enjoy a  laid-back atmosphere, delicious restaurants, and great surfing beaches. The living room includes half bathroom. Casa Rosa also includes a washer and dryer, ideal for extended stays. These are not visible in the pictures but they are located in the garage. This space does not have AC - open the doors and windows and the space will receive ample natural breeze. There are also ceiling fans. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Casa Rosa features three large but minimalist bedrooms. The first two bedrooms are located on the top floor - each with its own king bed, AC unit and ensuite bathroom with shower, providing a luxurious retreat for guests. The largest room is located downstairs. Once you enter the room, you’ll find door to the left which features a private bedroom with a king bed, AC, and ensuite bathroom with a shower. To the right, it includes a separate sleeping area which has a bunk bed with two twin beds, a bathroom with a tub, a sofa, kitchenette, AC, and 50” Smart TV.
