It’s situated in Bionnassay, a small hamlet above the busy resort of Saint-Gervais (8km), but you’ll feel as if you’re in the middle of nowhere and yet, you’ll be just 15 minutes from the slopes! There are four bedrooms - three double rooms which can each  be arranged with a kingsize bed or two single beds. Two of these rooms are on the ground floor and have en-suite shower rooms, whereas the third is on the first floor, and has a large bathroom with a bath, shower and WC. This room also has doors to the terrace - a great place for your morning coffee! The final room is a bunk room with four double bunk beds, each of which can be closed off with bright checked curtains - it’s the perfect place for children to enjoy a sleepover every night. There is also a separate shower room with two showers and a separate WC. There are two more double beds and a single bed on the mezzanine floor, but only one double bed is included in the capacity of the chalet (12). The rest of the area is a great place for older children to hang out - there’s a piano, board games and seating. There’s also a home office with four work stations and great views of Mont Joly, making Chalet La Chandelle a great choice for remote working. The open-plan living area on the first floor has a well-equipped kitchen with a large range cooker. The large dining table overlooks the terrace and the garden beyond, and there’s a cosy sitting area with a wood fire. The furnished terrace has a dining table, a barbecue and a pizza oven, and there are several places where you can sit in the garden and admire the views - why not light the fire pit and make a night of it! The chalet enjoys a peaceful and secluded location, just 200 meters from the main road, and is accessible via a paved road. During the winter season, this road is cleared of snow daily, but please note that snow tires and chains are mandatory to access the chalet. A 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended in case of heavy snowfall. Groups of more than 12 people can book Chalet La Chandelle with the Grand Mazot La Chandelle (2-4 guests) and/or the Petit Mazot La Chandelle (2 guests), giving a total capacity of up to 18 guests. The OVO Network team’s opinion - If you’re looking for a family holiday in the mountains, close to nature, great skiing and walking but still close enough to enjoy the resorts of the Chamonix Valley, Chalet Choquette could tick all your boxes. There are three bedrooms on the top floor: a master bedroom with a large double and a single bed as well as an en suite shower room, and two more double rooms, one of which can be arranged with twin beds or a kingsize bed. All of the bedrooms open on to a balcony, where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and the incredible views. The spacious open plan living room has a seating area in front of a woodburning stove, another in front of a Smart TV, and a dining table with room for everyone to eat together. Before dinner, you could enjoy an apero on the sunny terrace or perhaps take in the views from the hot tub. Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included. Parties are strictly forbidden. In winter, it is essential to have a vehicle equipped with snow tyres to access the chalet and its parking space (two cars). In periods of heavy snowfall or black ice, you may have to walk the last 50 metres between the car park and the chalet.In summer, the chalet is accessible via a gravel path, so access will be difficult for cars with a low chassis. There are security cameras located inside the chalet and directed towards the entrance doors. They record only in the event of an intrusion. The owner requires a €1,000 damage and excess cleaning guarantee to be set up before arrival. No funds are taken or blocked on your card. Your card details are securely held for up to 14 days after departure.
