This lovely home in Newport, Oregon boasts ample RV and boat parking that conveniently accommodate a range of adventures and outdoor fun. When guests aren’t exploring, or enjoying the sand and waves, they can gather on the side yard deck and cook up some grub on the gas grill or enjoy the private hot tub! This spacious, split-level home is lovely for families, with a wood-burning fireplace right at the heart of it all. One bathroom and two bedrooms are on the lower level, and there are two bedrooms with a large hallway bathroom on the upper level.
Located in Surfland Estates (three mi south of Newport), the neighborhood is quiet, tree-lined, kid and bike-friendly, and with dead-end streets! Surfland has two beach accesses only for residents and their guests. The first is a switchback staircase leading down to the beach, and the trail leading to it is just a short walk from the house on Surfland Street. The other is at the end of the same street, a measured half-mile from the home. This one is a low bank with easy walk-on access and parking space. Either one will take you to one of the most beautiful, pristine, and unpopulated beaches on the Oregon Coast, perfect for beachcombing and teeming with coastal wildlife! If you prefer a dune type of beach with trails, the South Beach State Park is just a little over a mile to the north.
Newport is just a few miles north, with boat launches and a crabbing/fishing dock next to the Rogue Brewery World Headquarters (crab rings are stacked behind the house for your convenience and enjoyment!) The Oregon Coast Aquarium is also nearby. On the other side of the bridge are the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse and the Old Bayfront, lined with shops, a wide variety of restaurants, and other popular attractions. At the end is mooring for the largest commercial fishing fleet on the Oregon Coast. Further into Newport, the Nye Beach district is also popular with visitors. Two golf courses within a few miles of the house also provide a fun and challenging break from the beach; if you can break away from the beach, that is!

Newport, Oregon, is a delightful coastal city that offers a variety of attractions for visitors. It's known for its breathtaking natural beauty, with expansive scenic beaches and the prominent Yaquina Head Lighthouse serving as a striking feature against the Pacific Ocean backdrop. The area is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing, and wildlife spotting. You might even have the opportunity to see gray whales during their migration season.
The city's maritime heritage is apparent in its historic bayfront district where fishing boats are frequently seen coming and going, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere. Here you can discover a range of shops offering local crafts and fresh seafood restaurants presenting the day's catch.
Newport houses the well-regarded Oregon Coast Aquarium, which offers an engaging insight into marine life in the Pacific Northwest. Its exhibits showcase a variety of species from sea otters to sharks. For more hands-on marine experiences, Hatfield Marine Science Center provides educational programs and exhibits about marine science and ocean conservation.

In summary, Newport merges natural beauty with cultural richness making it an appealing destination for all types of travelers - whether they're seeking outdoor adventures or prefer exploring local history and culture.
