Arches National Park is a geological marvel with over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the world-renowned Delicate Arch. Hiking trails cater to all levels of fitness and lead to these natural wonders, offering views that are nothing short of spectacular. The park also boasts other unique formations such as balanced rocks, towering pinnacles, and massive fins.
Canyonlands National Park offers its own brand of beauty with canyons sculpted by the Colorado River over millions of years. The park is divided into four districts: Island in the Sky, The Needles, The Maze, and the rivers themselves. Each district provides unique opportunities for hiking, camping, mountain biking, and river rafting.
Moab isn't just about hiking and sightseeing; it's also known as the mountain biking capital of the world. The Slickrock Bike Trail is one of its most famous routes with its challenging terrain coupled with stunning views. Moab's history stretches back thousands of years as evidenced by petroglyphs and dinosaur tracks scattered throughout the area. Remnants from mining operations offer a glimpse into more recent history.
