This mountain home is a true Craftsman Bungalow design with all original doors, windows, beams, floors & fireplaces. The builder and original owner, William R Ellerson was a businessman in Asheville and Madison County. He was a business partner with E.W. Grove - builder of Grove park Inn and the Grove Arcade. The two local giants were acquiring land to build a "Grove Park Inn 2", in Hot Springs, when Grove died in 1927. Ellerson built the house in 1920 for his new wife - who was a descendent of the founder of Hot Springs, William Nielson. With soaring vistas, high ceilings, massive fireplaces, impeccable attention to historical details and hard wood floors, you will immediately feel pampered at Ellerson House.
