Need more space? The home is one of 7 similar units in a building complex at Prospect. Photos feature our layout and furnishings, specific designs may vary.
Prospect Street is where La Jolla puts its best foot forward — galleries and boutiques along one side, the Pacific falling away on the other — and Seashore V sits right in the middle of it. The Cove is a few minutes on foot from the front door, close enough to check the water before coffee and be back before it cools. Ellen Browning Scripps Park is the same short walk, a green bluff above the water where the sea lions bark and the sunsets draw a crowd every evening.
Inside, the mood is bright and beachy in the modern sense: light, open, and easy to settle into after a day in the salt and sun. The living area is built around a deep, comfortable sofa made for a movie once the sand has been rinsed off, and the king bed is the kind you sink into and stay in a little longer than planned.
The rest of the village is yours on foot. Prospect and Girard hold a dense run of boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants, and the Museum of Contemporary Art sits a few blocks down with ocean views from its terrace. Walk ten minutes south and you’ll hit the Children’s Pool, where harbor seals haul out on the sand in plain view. Beyond the village, the coast opens up: La Jolla Shores for calm, wide, swimmable sand about a mile north, Windansea for the surf break and the sunsets, Birch Aquarium up on the Scripps campus, and the cliffside trails of Torrey Pines a short drive up the coast. Head south instead and Belmont Park brings the Giant Dipper and the Mission Beach boardwalk within a twenty-minute drive.
Come back at the end of it, and the quiet of the block does the rest.
