The Neighborhood

This beautiful region of Tuscany has something for everyone with thermal springs, extraordinary scenery, oodles of history and culture and beautiful beaches a couple of hours away. Oh, and did we mention the WINE?? Tuscany is the top Italian destination for wine buffs with an incredible number of high quality vineyards. Those seeking an active holiday will find incredible hiking and cycling paths to explore. Don’t Miss… Radicofani (2.5 km) - Situated near tranquil Radicofani the picturesque surroundings makes for a truly relaxing holiday - but there's plenty of activities in the immediate area to keep the entire family entertained. 3.5 km down the road is the ancient castle of Radicofani, dating back to the dark ages -before year 1000! A tower in the town offers magnificent views over Val d’Orcia, Amiata, the Apennines and the Trasimeno and Bolsena lakes and San Pietro and Sant’Agata Church house an amazing collection of Della Robbia terracotta pieces. Hikers, horse riders, cyclists and nature lovers will find trails and country roads that wind through hillsides and vineyards revealing breathtaking vistas. There are also plenty of fabulous dining options, craft workshops and traditional delicatessens close to the property. Bagno Vignoni (25 km) is the most beautiful of the local spa towns where in place of a central piazza, there’s a vast arcaded medieval thermal pool. Montalcino (44 km) is a gorgeous hilltop town dating back to the 10th century famous for its tanneries and incredible Brunello wine. The Brunello di Montalcino is made using 100% Sangiovese and in 1980 was awarded the first Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG) designation. These days it is one of Italy's best-known and most expensive wines and is only produced in Montalcino. The town features spectacular mansions built by nobles who fleed Siena in the 16th century.  Siena (77 km) - For those seeking fantastic food and spectacular art Siena makes a great day trip with a plethora of fabulous restaurants and Gothic architecture. Rivalling Florence for Renaissance palazzi and art, Siena’s churches, galleries and museums could keep you busy for weeks.

Let’s try that again.
