A storybook setting with Forest Service land on both sides, plus a private hot tub with views of the towering trees, make this Tahoe dream house that welcomes both adventurers and those who prefer to stay in and relax.
Part of the sought-after Montgomery Estates, this home is ideally located 4 miles from Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort. For the active ones in your group, hiking trails depart nearly from your front door, and ski slopes and beaches are within easy driving distance. Not to mention shopping, dining, and casinos are all close driving from here! Cyclists will enjoy a large garage that provides plenty of space for large vehicles - even a van with bicycle racks fits easily.
If you’re more the “stay in” sort, you’ll love it here, too. We recently gave this four-level house a facelift with the help of a professional interior decorator who inventively combined “classic” and “new” to create the ultimate alpine retreat. Enjoy Tahoe-inspired artwork, luxurious bathrooms, custom wood floors, and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen that opens to the dining area.
The main bedroom has wooded views and a luxury en suite bathroom with a jetted tub and walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a comfy bed. The third bedroom is great for kids with its two bunk beds and the fourth bedroom is located downstairs, with forest views.
For a movie night, try out the exceptional home theater with surround sound. We have a Blu-Ray player and streaming available. Your biggest challenge will be to stay awake while lounging on what guests call “the most comfortable couch ever.”
Outside, a spacious deck provides plenty of room for dining alfresco at the patio table and stargazing through the pine-tree canopy from the comfort of the large in-set hot tub.

This picturesque destination is renowned for its stunning alpine lake, vibrant ski resorts, and endless outdoor activities, making it an ideal getaway for those looking to immerse themselves in natural beauty and recreational fun.
In the winter, South Lake Tahoe transforms into a snowy wonderland, attracting skiers and snowboarders to its world-class slopes. Resorts like Heavenly Mountain offer not only challenging runs but also breathtaking views of the lake below. For those who prefer a slower pace, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing provide a serene way to explore the winter landscape.
As the snow melts and summer arrives, the lake becomes the centerpiece of activity. Boating, kayaking, and paddleboarding are popular ways to enjoy the crystal-clear waters, while the surrounding beaches offer a perfect spot for relaxation and picnics. Fishing enthusiasts will find the lake teeming with trout and salmon, promising a rewarding day out on the water.
Hiking is another draw, with trails for all levels winding through the Sierra Nevada mountains. The Tahoe Rim Trail, an extensive network that encircles the lake, offers some of the most spectacular vistas in the region. For a unique experience, visitors can hike to Emerald Bay State Park to witness the grandeur of Vikingsholm, a 38-room mansion that is one of the finest examples of Scandinavian architecture in the United States.
South Lake Tahoe's nightlife is equally enticing, with the Nevada side boasting casinos where visitors can try their luck or enjoy live entertainment. The town also offers a variety of dining options, from cozy mountain lodges serving hearty fare to upscale restaurants with innovative menus.
Cultural events and festivals throughout the year add to the allure of South Lake Tahoe. Whether it's live music on the beach, art shows, or athletic competitions, there's always something happening that showcases the vibrant community spirit of the area.
For those seeking a quieter escape, the region's natural hot springs provide a tranquil setting to unwind and rejuvenate. The blend of relaxation and adventure, coupled with the stunning scenery, makes South Lake Tahoe a destination that truly offers something for everyone.
