Villa Catalana is situated in an exclusive development in the quiet estate of Aigua Gelida, 400m from the pretty little cove of Aigua Gelida and 2km from the stunning beach and varied amenities of Tamariu. This fabulous private development has shared access to three swimming pools, three floodlit tennis courts, a playground and a wonderful manicured garden shaded by pine trees. It is fantastic to have these facilities as well as the beach being so close.

Aigua Gelida’s little cove is idyllic with inviting turquoise water. It is a perfect place to snorkel. Tamariu’s beach is a lovely sandy stretch of silvery sand and has watersports on offer; boat trips from the pontoon and a number of cozy cafes and restaurants surrounding the beach. The Neighborhood

Villa Catalana is situated in a lovely, peaceful private estate in the classy Aigua Gelida area of the Costa Brava, within easy reach of idyllic coves, fabulous restaurants and attractions, historic villages and towns such as Begur and Girona. Tamariu is a family-friendly with welcoming restaurants and bars. It hosts the Festival of Tamariu in August each year with watermelon launching, habaneras singing, a foam party and a performing clown. Tamariu is at the end of the coastal part of the famous Camino de Ronda hiking route. You can follow the dramatic cliffs to the pretty nearby village of Llafranc passing the lovely 19th century Sant Sebastia lighthouse on the way. Llafranc was a favourite haunt of Salvador Dali and is popular with the rich and famous stars. If you continue the Camino de Ronda route, you will reach the gorgeous Calella de Palafrugell and the stunning botanical gardens at Cap Roig. Pals is an utterly charming village with narrow winding lanes leading to the small Gothic church of Sant Pere where you can enjoy the 360-degree panoramic views of the distant Pyrenees at one end of the valley and the Medes Islands at the other. There is a permanent exhibition of Catalan wines and cavas at the Museu-Casa de Cultura Ca La Pruna, dating back to the 15th and 16th century. The Mas Geli vineyard in Pals makes six different organic wines and is worth a visit. The beach is astonishing with rice fields on one side. The quaint though sophisticated Medieval village of Begur boasts cobbled streets, whitewashed houses draping the hillside, fabulous restaurants and cafes, a crumbling stone castle and a very big welcome. Close to Begur is La Bisbal, home to a thriving ceramic industry where you can buy some ceramic souvenirs to take home.

Things To Know


Payment and Cancellation - 90 Day Policy

Grace Period:

  • Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) cancellation is within 48-hours of reservation request, and (2) reservation request was made at least 10 days before arrival.

Payment Policy:

  • 90 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
  • More than 90 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation (non-refundable), the remaining 50% will be charged 90 days prior to arrival.
  • For guests paying with points: 100% of payment will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.

Cancellation Policy:

  • 90 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
  • More than 90 days before arrival: initial 50% payment is forfeited; the remaining 50% will not be charged.
  • For guests paying with points more than 90 days before arrival: 50% of points taken are forfeited; the remaining 50% will be refunded within 5-10 business days.

  • Departure time : 10 am
  • End of stay cleaning included? : Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
  • Linen & towels included? : Bed linen, bath and pool towels are included in the rental price.
  • Energy costs included? : Yes, included in the rental price.
  • Internet access? : Wi-Fi internet access included in rental price.
  • Minimum stay : 3 nights
  • Changeover day : Friday during high season.
  • Pets welcome? : Not allowed.
  • Smoking Allowed? : Not permitted.
  • Tax : The tenants will need to pay a tourist tax of €0,90 per person per night for over 16's, not included in the rental price and will need to be paid prior arrival via a link direct to the supplier.
  • Insurance : Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, personal belongings, public liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
