Empire House Hideaway by Park City Vacation Rentals
2 Bedrooms · 2 Bathrooms · Sleeps 6 · No Pets · No A/C
Welcome to Empire House Hideaway, a classic Old Town mountain retreat set along Empire Avenue in the beating heart of historic Park City. With two bedrooms, two private bathrooms, and a living area built for gathering, this Victorian-era gem comfortably accommodates up to six guests seeking the most walkable, lift-accessible address in all of Park City. There are only twelve units in the coveted Empire House building, and just two offer two bedrooms and two bathrooms — making this a rare find for couples, families, and small groups who want to plant themselves directly in the action.
From the gas fireplace and oversized sectional to the soaking tub in the primary bath and the ski storage at the front door, every element of this home is oriented around effortless mountain living. Park City Mountain Resort — the largest ski resort in the United States — is a three-minute walk from the front door. Historic Main Street is less than ten minutes on foot. The car can stay parked the entire trip.
The Space
Living Area: A large, plush sectional sofa anchors the main living space, facing a big-screen HD television and a cozy gas fireplace — the kind of setup that makes it genuinely difficult to leave after a long day on the mountain. A shiplap accent wall adds ski-lodge warmth and character, and a Bluetooth-enabled sound bar keeps the music going whether the group is winding down or gearing up for the evening. The sectional also converts to a sleeper, offering a comfortable option for a sixth guest.
Kitchen & Dining: The open-plan kitchen flows directly into the dining and bar area, where pine cabinetry and authentic aspen log furnishings create a rustic-chic ambience that brings the group together at mealtimes. Six comfortable settings at the dining and bar area give everyone room to gather, and the kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with cookware and accessories suited to everything from a quick pre-ski breakfast to a full group dinner.
Outdoor Living: Empire House Hideaway does not have a private outdoor space or hot tub, but the location more than compensates — City Park, one block away, offers pickleball, tennis, basketball, and a skate and bike park. The entire resort and town are your front yard.
Please note that this property does not have air conditioning. At Old Town’s elevation, summer evenings are naturally cool and comfortable, and the building’s thick historic walls keep interior temperatures pleasant throughout the warmer months.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Primary Bedroom: King bed, flat-screen TV, and a charming bay window that frames the mountain light beautifully. The private en-suite bathroom features both a soaking tub and a separate walk-in shower — an uncommon luxury at this proximity to the lifts and at this price point in Old Town.
Guest Bedroom: A twin XL-over-queen bunk bed makes this room ideal for families with children or friends who need flexible sleeping arrangements. A wall-mounted flat-screen TV completes the space. The guest bathroom — with a walk-in shower — is accessible from the main living area and serves this bedroom and day guests alike.
Additional Amenities:
Private hot tub: No
Ski storage: At the front door entrance
Internet: High-speed Wi-Fi
Parking: One reserved space in the heated common-area garage
Air conditioning: No — naturally cool at elevation
Laundry: Stackable washer and dryer off the kitchen
