The large screened porch is perfect for enjoying the island breeze without direct sun, while the upper deck and private balcony create ideal spots for sunrise coffee, sunset views, and clear night sky stargazing. Under the home, a spacious covered patio creates a true outdoor living area. Guests can enjoy a picnic table, a built in large dining table with seating, and plenty of room to relax after grilling or spending the day at the beach. An outdoor shower with a private dressing room makes it easy to rinse off and transition back inside. For beach days, guests can walk about 1/4 mile, roughly a 10 minute walk, to Gulf access points at Sam Houston or Sehoy for classic white sand and surf. Just steps away, the Mississippi Sound side beach offers a calmer, more protected environment with a gentle slope, no rip currents, and fewer marine hazards, making it especially appealing for families and younger swimmers. A beach buggy and chairs are provided to make trips to the beach easier, and cornhole adds a fun option for outdoor time at the house. During your stay, explore Fort Gaines, the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, and the Alabama Aquarium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab.
