From the moment you step inside, La Badoumba reveals its character: a bold, warm architect-designed villa made for sharing real moments together. In the morning, light glides across the pool; from the main suite, the overflow bathtub invites you to start the day in a soft, intimate and truly high-end atmosphere.
The house welcomes up to 8 guests: 3 suites, each with its own bathroom, to preserve everyone’s privacy. The extra sleeping space is upstairs in the cinema lounge, with one convertible sofa.
On the ground floor, the living spaces bring together the lounge, dining area and kitchen in a refined design atmosphere. Two suites are on this level, including the main suite facing the pool. Even the WC hides a surprise for sports-car lovers.
Upstairs, the mood becomes more intimate: office area, third suite, cinema lounge with projector. Settle into the sofas or onto the suspended net above the living room, designed for relaxing and watching a film differently — it is not a trampoline.
Outside, the day continues: heated pool 6.60 x 3.50 m, 1.50 m deep, counter-current swimming, massage-jet seating, sheltered Jacuzzi, fire pit, barbecue, garden and upper terrace with summer kitchen, bar and Canigou view. 7.2 kW EV charger available.
Explore Perpignan, the beaches of Canet and Saint-Cyprien, Catalan markets, Collioure, the Côte Vermeille and landscapes between the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees.
Property Manager remains available: local tips and services on request, subject to availability and quote: private chef, massages, mid-stay cleaning or event services.
Please note: the house is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility. The pool is heated from May to September by heat pump; its temperature depends on the outside weather and cannot be guaranteed. For exact dates, please message us. L'Escala, a charming coastal town in the Catalonia region of Spain, is a delightful blend of old-world charm and natural beauty. Known for its stunning beaches, rich history, and delicious cuisine, L'Escala is a gem on the Costa Brava that offers a more relaxed alternative to the region's bustling tourist hotspots.
The town's beaches are undoubtedly a major draw, with a variety of sandy stretches and secluded coves to choose from. The expansive beach of Riells is perfect for families, offering clear shallow waters and a promenade lined with shops and eateries. For a more tranquil experience, Cala Montgó is nestled in a beautiful bay surrounded by cliffs and pine trees, providing a serene setting for sunbathing and swimming.
L'Escala's history is deeply intertwined with the sea, and this is reflected in its cultural attractions. The Alfolí de la Sal, an old salt warehouse, now serves as a cultural space and museum, showcasing the town's maritime heritage. The ruins of Empúries are a must-visit for history enthusiasts; this archaeological site features remnants of a Greek port city and a later Roman town, offering a fascinating glimpse into the ancient civilizations that once thrived here.
Gastronomy is another highlight of L'Escala, with the town being famous for its anchovies. Visitors can savor this local specialty in various forms, from traditional recipes to modern tapas. The annual Anchovy Festival celebrates this culinary tradition, attracting food lovers from far and wide. Beyond anchovies, the town's restaurants serve up a variety of fresh seafood and Catalan dishes, often paired with excellent regional wines.
For those seeking outdoor activities, L'Escala provides ample opportunities for hiking, cycling, and water sports. The Montgrí, Medes Islands, and Baix Ter Natural Park offer a diverse landscape of mountains, wetlands, and marine environments, perfect for nature lovers and adventurers.
L'Escala's charm is further enhanced by its calendar of events and festivals, which include lively music performances, traditional dances, and cultural celebrations that bring the community together and offer visitors a taste of local life.
In essence, L'Escala is a destination that captivates with its picturesque beaches, rich cultural tapestry, delectable cuisine, and a relaxed Mediterranean vibe. It's an ideal spot for travelers looking to immerse themselves in the authentic character of the Costa Brava while avoiding the crowds of more tourist-heavy areas.
