Tucked into the heart of downtown Telluride with the San Miguel River running just beyond the door, Riverstone Retreat is a two-bedroom mountain-modern retreat built for families who want the best of this box-canyon town without sacrificing comfort or style. Warm wood-paneled walls, soaring ceilings, and oversized windows set the tone the moment you step inside — this is a home that feels grounded in its alpine setting, not borrowed from it.
The open-concept living space centers around a sculptural fireplace, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the surrounding pines. A comfortable queen sleeper sofa offers a relaxed spot for movie nights in front of the wall-mounted smart TV and provides flexible sleeping space when needed. Nearby, the kitchen balances style and function with black cabinetry, designer pendant lighting, a full suite of appliances, and island seating for casual breakfasts or après-ski snacks. The dining table seats six comfortably for shared meals and slow mornings together.
The primary bedroom features a king bed framed by forest views through expansive windows, creating a peaceful retreat that genuinely earns the word “serene.” Bedroom 2 offers a queen bed in a bright, airy setting with clean lines and the same connection to the trees just outside. Both bedrooms include ensuite bathrooms, each with a shower-tub combo and modern finishes.
Step onto the private balcony for morning coffee with mountain views or evening drinks under the pines. And after a full day on the trails or the mountain, unwind in the building’s shared hot tub — the perfect way to soak tired muscles and toast to the day.
Location is where this home truly shines. You’re directly on the San Miguel River trail — lace up for a morning walk, trail run, or family bike ride right from the front door. The free gondola to Mountain Village is a short walk away, connecting you to winter skiing and summer hiking alike. Main Street’s galleries, gourmet restaurants, and bars are minutes on foot, putting the full downtown Telluride experience within easy reach.
In winter, you’re perfectly positioned for ski days on Telluride Mountain, followed by warm dinners downtown. In summer, the river trail, wildflower hikes, mountain biking, and legendary festivals — Bluegrass, Film, Jazz — unfold right outside. Families especially love the walkable layout: no car needed, no long shuttle rides, just a tight-knit mountain town where kids can roam and parents can exhale.
Whether you’re here for powder, peaks, or festival season, Riverstone Retreat delivers a base camp that feels like a true Telluride home.
