Surrounded by redwoods and in a quiet neighborhood, the Coastal Cabin offers a pleasant space to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Don’t forget to bring your hiking shoes, as numerous trailheads are a short drive away, including the Gualala Bluff Trail, Gualala River Redwood Park, and Bower Park. Sun-soaked and happy, head back inside the open interior of your stay. Whip up something delicious in the well-equipped kitchen amongst the vintage fridge and ample meal prep space. Fly into Santa Rosa’s Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS), about 90 minutes east, and drive the coast from there. Having a car opens up the entire Mendonoma Coast. The steps to the front door are not symmetrical, so be careful when descending. Visit in spring for wildflower season -- the hills above Gualala and the river trails burst with lupine and California poppies. June through September brings the warmest weather. Morning fog is part of the charm -- it usually clears to reveal blue skies. Up to 1 dog is welcome (max 50 lbs). Please keep dogs on leash on trails and clean up after them.
