Experience a gorgeous piece of Mt. Hood history at this handcrafted Brightwood cabin, a historical woodland retreat constructed by master carpenter Henry Steiner in 1939. You’ll enjoy two private decks, an outdoor firepit, beautiful views of the surrounding forest, and a wondrous location on the shores of the Sandy River!
One of 30 similar homes constructed by the Steiner family, this charming cabin sits among firs, pines, and cedars on the banks of the Sandy River. Each summer, you’ll enjoy easy access to fishing and kayaking on the river, hiking trails in the Wildwood Recreation Site, half a mile south, and 27 holes of golf at the Mt. Hood Oregon Resort, two miles southeast. Come winter, you’ll have your choice of Mt. Hood ski slopes: 13 miles to Skibowl, 14 miles to Summit, and 20 miles to Timberline. And always come home to a clawfoot tub and lovely details like hand-carved stairs and natural wood railings.
