Welcome to Garrett’s Getaway! A rustic lakefront cabin on the beautiful Watauga Lake in Butler, Tennessee.
This cabin features a private dock, convenient lake access, game tables, a fire pit and more. With three levels of living space, each offering its own bedroom and bath, this retreat is designed for both comfort and privacy while keeping you close to the water’s edge.
The cozy main level features a welcoming kitchen and living room, perfect for gathering after a day on the lake. The living room TV is equipped with Sling Blue services, so you can catch up on your favorite shows or enjoy a movie night. A queen bedroom is located on the main level, and a full bathroom is conveniently located in the hallway. Upstairs, the lofted bedroom includes its own bathroom, which also opens to the loft for additional flex space.
On the lower level, you’ll find a fun entertainment room complete with a TV, a beautiful black walnut bar with an ice maker, foosball table, and pinball machine. This space opens directly to a patio, creating a great flow for indoor-outdoor relaxation. A full bath is in the hallway on this level for easy access.
Step outside to a stone path leading you down to the lake, where the peaceful setting of the Watauga surrounds you. You’ll enjoy the private dock and boat slip just below the house. Right along the lake, is a firepit with two benches where you can roast s’mores next to the water and under the stars.
In the winter months, you’ll be just 18 miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort, making this the perfect year-round getaway for both lake lovers and snow seekers.
Whether you’re gathering around the fireplace, playing games downstairs, or soaking in the natural beauty of the lakefront, Garrett’s Getaway offers a true mountain-lake escape.
Additional Notes:
- Garretts Getaway allows up to 2 well trained, mature dogs with a pet rent of $25 per pet per night.
- All BRMR homes offer kitchens stocked with all utensils, dishware and cookware needed to cook and enjoy meals. There is also a "starter set" of other essentials including a roll of paper towels, a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. Towels and linens will be provided for you. Please plan to bring any food or pantry items you wish to use.
- All linens and towels provided for your stay.
- AWD/4WD is recommended for all vehicles coming to the mountains in the winter months. To access Beech Mountain in times of snow or ice, chains may also be necessary.
- Firewood for the indoor fireplace or firepit may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week’s notice. You’ll receive two bundles of firewood and a fire starter for $25/night + tax.
- Home is a distance from a grocery store, please plan accordingly to ensure an enjoyable stay!
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
CANCELLATION POLICY -
Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit.
Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
