Tucked into a hillside with sweeping Catskills views, the Main House at Mountainview Estate is where the heart of the gathering happens. Bright, open living spaces stretch across multiple levels, anchored by a stone fireplace and oversized windows that pull the surrounding hills right into the room. Plush sectionals, warm wood accents, and mountain light make it the kind of place where afternoons stretch long and conversations linger past midnight.
The chef’s kitchen is built for group cooking — stainless steel appliances, generous counter space, and dual dishwashers mean prep and cleanup never bottleneck the fun. A long dining table seats ten for family-style meals, with a second eat-in dining area nearby for overflow, kids, or morning coffee with a view.
Downstairs, the entertainment wing is exclusive to Main House guests: a full game room with a pool table, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, and a blackjack table, plus a dedicated bar and lounge ready for cocktail hour or a nightcap. A Sonos system threads music through the gathering spaces, so the soundtrack follows wherever the night leads.
When it’s time to wind down, seven bedrooms sleep up to 26 across thoughtfully arranged configurations — a mix of queens, doubles, twins, and a king-anchored suite that works beautifully for multigenerational stays. Five full bathrooms keep mornings moving, and forest-lined windows mean every wake-up feels like a deep breath.
Step outside and the rest of the estate opens up: a heated pool and hot tub for sunny afternoons, a private lake with a canoe for slow paddles, a firepit for stargazing, plus a BBQ grill, sand volleyball court, basketball hoop, and kids’ play area. The Catskills are just beyond — Hunter Mountain and Windham within easy reach for skiing, hiking, and small-town wandering, with lakeside trails and seasonal charm year-round.
Whether it’s a milestone celebration, a multigenerational reunion, or a long weekend with your favorite people, the Main House at Mountainview Estate offers room to spread out, settle in, and slow down — all framed by the kind of views that make you want to stay one more night.

It’s no wonder city dwellers flock to upstate New York’s Catskill Mountains for a break from the daily grind. Its rural beauty and colorful foliage is a beautiful change of scenery. After all, it was here that inspired an entire artistic movement of Romantic painters to capture the area’s rolling hills and pastoral setting. View the landscapes in person by hiking the Catskill Mountains, and then head to the farm to pick seasonal produce. Think apple picking in the fall and strawberries in the summer!
Local Attraction: Hunter Mountain Ski Resort, Windham Ski Mountain and Resort, Hunter Mountain Ski Resort, Rip Van Winkle Lake Park (just a 1–2 minute walk and literally around the corner from the home), Windham Path, Windham High Peak, North Lake/South Lake hiking and kayaking area, Kaaterskill Falls, Hensonville’s farm-to-table market, Maplecrest trailheads, and the nearby towns of Windham, Tannersville, Hudson, and Catskill.
