The Beauty of New Smyrna Beach:
New Smyrna is a barrier island positioned between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River. The beaches of New Smyrna stretch over 13 miles along the sandy east coast of Central Florida. Water activities abound. New Smyrna is the surfing capital of Florida – try it yourself or watch the locals ride the big waves near the jetties. Play in the surf, gather seashells, or build a sandcastle with your kids or grandkids. From Ponce de Leon Inlet, you can embark on a great deep-sea fishing adventure. Should you prefer to stay closer to the shore, fish the Florida saltwater flats for the famous redfish of Mosquito Lagoon.
Although New Smyrna is a small historic town, the city offers a wide selection of shopping, dining, and cultural experiences for both its residents and guests. From beachside burger joints to restaurants serving fresh local seafood, there’s something here for everyone!
