The apartment consists of a large living room, characterized by a very high ceiling and large windows, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a small kitchen. The master bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom, it’s located on the same level as the living room and the kitchen. The second bedroom consists of 3 single beds and is located, as well as the second bathroom, on the upper floor which is accessed via a short staircase.
The apartment develops through the first floor of a refined Florentine building standing right by the river Arno which crosses the city.
The building dates back to 1400 and gets its name from the Benci family, as well as the adjacent road. In the 80s the inside of the building was transformed by dividing it into many elegant apartments, with tailor-made touches and equipped with all the comforts that are still present in all the apartments today. The apartment is on the first floor easily accessible by lift and stairs. The house is extremely quiet thanks to the double windows present in all rooms. By the entrance of the building there is a doorman during office hours for any eventuality. The apartment features a number of original custom designed furnitures dating back to the time of its renovation .
The house is located in one of the most popular areas of the historical center, both during the day and at night, thanks to the presence of many restaurants and bars. In fact Santa Croce can offer an authentic Florentine feeling being at the same time just 500 meters away from Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Vecchio the city Town Hall. The Santa Croce district is arguably one of the most beautiful areas in the historical center of Florence. Not only for its monuments but also for its small shops and restaurants which, especially in the evening time, make the small streets of the district pleasantly alive. Santa Croce church is certainly the main attraction. Here are buried some illustrious personalities like Galileo and Michelangelo. The square in front of the church is often a place for events and fares, the most important no doubts being the Calcio Storico (Ancient Football) which is held every year in June. During this time the square literally turns into a sand arena surrounded by stands. Ultimately we can add that thanks to its strategic position the Santa Croce district is one of the best places to stay when visiting Florence. If you choose to live somewhere else don’t miss out on visiting Santa Croce, during the day and at night.
The apartment is located right by the border of the limited traffic zone (ZTL). It is possible to reach it by car directly passing through the Ponte alle Grazie which is right in front of the building. Being in the historical center, finding parking close to the building is not easy but you can park your car there for a few minutes to unload your luggage. Just two minutes walk away from the entrance door there is a private garage where you can leave your car for a daily price.
Inside the apartment there are all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. In the living room there is a smart TV with Netflix in English (depending on the preferences of the
guest) and obviously Wi-Fi internet access. The house is equipped with air conditioning in every room. In the kitchen there are: dishwasher, oven, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine with pods included. In the house there is also a washing machine and an iron with ironing board.
In addition to sheets and towels, our guests will be provided with a bathroom set complete with hand soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.
