The start of a great vacation is a good night’s sleep, and we put special consideration into this 😴—our Nature Villa is curated for calm: natural textures, top-quality mattress selection, premium linens with plush robes, blackout options, a ceiling fan, and cold A/C where you want it. 🛌 Bedroom & Full hotel-style Bathroom: ✅ Sleep-focused: one king-size four-post bed with mosquito net, Casper Mattress, 100% goose down feather pillows (with synthetic options available,) a ceiling fan, and a very cold top-quality Mitsubishi air conditioner. ✅ Sounds of nature: at night you’ll be able to hear all of the sounds of the rainforest: Coquis, the Puerto Rican owl, crickets, we have some nocturnal birds, and even the occasional cow. ✅ Primary Suite: view of the El Yunque Rainforest overlooking the hills, faces west for great sunsets, workspace nook with plush chair and footrest, dinning table & chairs, coffee bar with mini-fridge and top-of-the-line Nespresso expresso machine, tea kettle with local teas, Sonos speaker, and direct terrace access. Of course, we have all of the common insects, such as mosquitos, but we also have some rarer ones, such as the praying mantis. ✅Other Animals: the farm you are visiting is owned by a 2-year old golden retriever who lives on the farm and roams freely. His name is Leo and he is friendly. Edible Landscape, Season by Season 🥭🍋🌿: Stroll past a lemon grove, oranges, limes, mango, passion fruit, papaya, banana & plantain fields, tamarind, star fruit, pineapple, sugar cane, avocado, blackberry & raspberry, corn, guava, and culinary herbs scattered throughout. You might also catch the Puerto Rican owls which live at Little Hills. Stargazing Nights: Low ambient light makes for bright constellations—perfect after a beach day or rainforest hike. Picnic Nooks: Tuck into small grassy clearings and benches along the loop for snacks, sketching, or a good book. Please enjoy trails and natural areas responsibly; correct and appropriate footwear with tread and strong ankle support is required, and common sense is just as important. Don’t hike in the rain, or after heavy rains. Foraging of crops is by permission and when in season so we can ensure safety and sustainability.
