Nowa Huta Charming Apartment is an apartment located in a quiet and peaceful district of Nowa Huta. The district was established between 1949 and 1951 as a modern socialist town. Its urban layout was designed with the principles of socialist urban planning in mind. Central Square, also known as Lenin Central Square, is the focal point of Nowa Huta. Located in the center of the district, it served as the main square, a place for gatherings, ceremonies, and everyday social life. The apartment offers a unique atmosphere and an excellent location for those wishing to explore the distinctive heritage of the area.
We encourage guests to take a walk along the Nowa Huta Reservoir, which is well-developed and offers a brine graduation tower and the possibility to rent kayaks during the summer. Crossing the small bridge over the Dłubnia River, you can reach the historic Jan Matejko Manor in Krzesławice through the park. During the summer, the outdoor swimming pool located right next to the reservoir is also available. Exiting through the Nowa Huta Meadows, you can reach the historic Cistercian Abbey in Mogiła, which also houses a museum and a garden. Nearby is the 15th-century larch Church of St. Bartholomew. Another attraction is the well-equipped bathing area in Przylasek Rusiecki, located about 15 km from Nowa Huta. The area features 14 bodies of water, one of which is adapted for swimming. Visitors can also spot beavers, whose activity is evident throughout the area. Entrance to the bathing area is free, and during the summer holidays, there is a direct bus connection.
The apartment’s location is an excellent base for those wishing to explore the historical and natural charms of Nowa Huta and its surroundings. Nearby attractions include the Nowa Huta Museum, Nowa Huta Cultural Center, Ludowy Theatre, and the Video Game Museum. In the immediate vicinity, there are various shops (Żabka, Netto, Biedronka, Carrefour, Lewiatan, Delikatesy Centrum), restaurants (Kolorowe Smaki, Hong Ha, Skarbnica Smaku, Bar Mleczny Centralny, Joker – Food & Friends, Restauracja Stylowa, and many more), cafes (Kawiarnia Centrum, Kawa Kwiaty i Warsztaty, Cafe Nowa Księgarnia, Coffee & CO), service points, and the Nowe Czyżne shopping center. The apartment is well-connected with numerous bus and tram stops (Os. Zgody, Rondo Kocmyrzowskie, Rondo Czyżyńskie, Os. Kolorowe, Central Square), making it easy for guests to reach all attractions Krakow has to offer.
Nowa Huta Charming Apartment is a cozy apartment featuring a living room with a sofa bed, a bedroom with a comfortable double bed, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a balcony where guests can relax and enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. It offers a range of amenities, including free WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a hairdryer, an iron, a dishwasher, an electric stove, a fridge with a freezer, a kettle, an oven, a microwave, and kitchen accessories. Additionally, the apartment has air conditioning, providing exceptional comfort, especially during hot days. Guests can use the shared outdoor parking, though spaces are not guaranteed.
The TV in the bedroom is currently inactive and does not work, but a fully functional TV is available in the living room.

About the area
Kraków, Poland's former royal capital, is a treasure trove of history, culture, and architectural splendor. The city's heart is the Rynek Główny, Europe's largest medieval market square, where the Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Basilica stand as testaments to Kraków's past wealth and importance. The hourly trumpet call from St. Mary's tower is a tradition that enchants visitors and locals alike.
The Wawel Castle complex, perched on a hill overlooking the Vistula River, is a must-see. This former residence of Polish kings combines Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture, reflecting the city's long and varied history. The Wawel Cathedral, with its ornate chapels and royal tombs, is a poignant symbol of Poland's national identity.
Kraków's historic district, Kazimierz, was once a thriving center of Jewish life. Today, its synagogues and cemeteries, alongside trendy cafes and art galleries, tell the story of a community that has both suffered and persevered. The annual Jewish Culture Festival celebrates this heritage with music, food, and dance.
For those interested in World War II history, the nearby Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum is a sobering reminder of the atrocities of the Holocaust. While a challenging visit, it is an important site for reflection and remembrance.
The city's cultural scene is vibrant, with numerous theaters, galleries, and clubs. Kraków is also known for its festivals, such as the Kraków Film Festival and the Kraków Live Festival, which attract international artists and audiences.
Kraków's culinary offerings are a delight, with a range of dining options from traditional Polish milk bars to fine dining restaurants. Be sure to try local specialties like pierogi (dumplings), kielbasa (sausage), and oscypek (smoked cheese) from the mountainous region of Podhale.
For a breath of fresh air, the Planty Park encircles the Old Town, providing a green oasis for leisurely walks. Further afield, the Wieliczka Salt Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dazzles with its underground chapels and saline lakes.
Kraków's charm lies in its ability to merge the weight of its history with a lively, contemporary spirit. Whether you're exploring its cobblestone streets, delving into its rich past, or enjoying its modern-day amenities, Kraków offers an experience that is both profound and pleasurable.
