This charming rural family and dog friendly house is just ten miles from the sea at Southwold and five from the market town of Halesworth with many independent shops, pubs, and a thriving centre of arts. Accommodation is comfortable and spacious throughout with two king and twin beds upstairs, a family bathroom and an en-suite shower room.
You’re welcomed into a hall with doors to the kitchen, utility room, living room, reading room, and cloakroom, with stairs to the first floor. The stairs are relatively steep with handrails on both sides. Hard flooring runs through the house with various rugs.
LIVING ROOM
Light floods into this spacious room through the bay window and there’s a door to the garden. Comfy sofas, footstool and coffee tables invite you to relax in front of the wood burner and watch the TV or choose on of the many games or books supplied around the house.
KITCHEN/DINING ROOM
An incredibly well-equipped kitchen and fantastic space to enjoy long lazy lunches with family and friends with a handsome dining table and eight chairs. Units wrap around two sides housing a waist height electric oven and microwave, a four-ring gas hob, a large fridge (four shelves and a veg drawer), freezer (three drawers), a dishwasher, an air fryer, an electric steamer, a slow cooker, a rice cooker, Krups coffee machine (bring your own thimble style pods), kettle and toaster. A butcher’s block gives extra storage and workspace.
READING ROOM
Guests are sure to enjoy having an extra room for some quiet time and there’s a great selection of books here to suit all age groups. The room’s simply furnished with a couple of chairs, dresser and side table.
CLOAKROOM
Simply with a WC and wash basin.
UTILITY ROOM
Great extra storage space with the advantage of a washing machine, a sink and various handy items – iron, ironing board, highchair etc.
FIRST FLOOR
GARDEN SUITE
Wake to the birds singing in this beautiful big bedroom overlooking the garden and fields beyond. A king size bed sits between bedside drawers and there’s additional storage in a massive wardrobe and chest of drawers; and a chair by the window where you can curl up with a good book.
EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM
Flooded by light from the sky light, this en-suite has a double shower cubicle with wall mounted with hand-held attachment, a wash basin, WC, a heated towel rail (towels are supplied for all guests), and storage in a mirrored cupboard and free standing cupboard.
DOUBLE ROOM
Decorated in calming shades of green, this room has a king size bed, bedside drawers as well as a chest of drawers, and a useful open wardrobe with hanging and shelving.
TWIN ROOM
A pretty room with sturdy twin beds and room to unpack and settle in with an open wardrobe and little drawer unit.
BATHROOM
Conveniently placed for guests in the twin or double rooms, fitted with a handheld shower over the bath, a WC, wash basin, and natural light.
OUTSIDE
This detached holiday house is set well back from the road with a gravel drive giving space for three vehicles. At the back is a big garden, fully enclosed and mainly laid to lawn, with a charming gazebo seating area and a table and chairs for dining al fresco.
There’s lots to explore on the nearby coast at picturesque Southwold and historic Dunwich; or inland with the market towns of Halesworth, Bungay and Beccles nearby; and a significant number of public paths and bridal paths in the immediate vicinity for you to explore.
